I was looking through some old cookbooks this morning and here are a few of my favs!

This was my very first cookbook!

When I got married I didn't even know the basics so I needed this! heehee!
But I found out that cooking is just being able to follow directions so I actually enjoyed learning over the years and consider myself a "good cooker" now! (a quote from a little boy from long, long ago!)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~And you can't cook without a 'Cooky Book'!!!~~~~~~~~~~~
That's quite possible! I wore mine out! I used it like a text book! lol
I, too, love those cookbooks! The "old fashioned oatmeal raisin cookies" from the cookie one is a family favorite. Your blog is so cute! I am honored you added me--I shall add you as well! Thanks!
I want to try that oatmeal recipe! I made the sour cream cookies from the cookbook yesterday but they were a little plain! lol I cut them out in cute shapes though!
I know that when I got married the art of boiling water was my talent in the kitchen. My sister in law gave me hope in the form of a cook book and with that I begain the adventure in cooking. I think we lived on bread and lunch meat for our first year together.
Thank you for your comment, I don't usually talk about voting.
I hope you will come by often, I know that I will return to see you.
Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit! I love meeting new people via blogland. I also love your display of cookbooks. I adore old cookbooks. I have a wonderful collection from my grandmother and one day hope to get them out of storage and display them properly!
PS The apple cake recipe sounds delicious. Tomorrow is to be raining and snowy ...I think a good day for an apple cake.
