"Sunday Favorites"

Welcome to the 53rd "Sunday Favorites"
I am joining in the Sunday Favorites with Happy to Design.
This is a post from over a year ago! But I still carry my "Art bag". I've added to it and should take photos again soon!
Enjoy your Sunday! (I apologize for the crazy spacing in this post, but the more I work with it...the worse it gets! lol)

"My Art Bag"

Otherwise known as my 'busy bag'!

You find inspiration everywhere .....
in your every day life!

I bought this beautiful MUDD bag during the 'back to school' sales

last Fall and thought it would be perfect to carry my art supplies when we travel.
Then a couple of weeks ago, Tiffany was checking me out at the local grocery store
and she saw that I was buying a puzzle book. She said she keeps a puzzle book
in her backpack along with paper, markers, coloring books, crayons...etc...
everywhere she goes. If she is with friends playing video games
(she is a young lady!) and she's not interested in what they are playing,

she takes something out of her bag to keep her busy!

So this is one of my New Year's Resolutions!
Keep my 'busy bag' full of FUN stuff ready to go at a moment's notice!

We travel a lot so this will be perfect!
But it would also be great to have while
waiting for a doctor's appointment
or to peruse while your car is being serviced!

And what do I doodle when I find some 'doodle time'?!

Now when a serious trip is in the making......all of this
( plus a lot more...that includes the kitchen sink... must go!)
My organizer, an address book (up to date, of course), my IPOD
and ear phones (in the little blue bag) and a book of poetry
and whatever book I am reading at the time....they can all go in the bag!

For Christmas a girlfriend gave me this red travel bag that has
compartments for passport, ID's money, etc and that will fit, too!

This is my journal....
and I will save that for another post.
I have kept a journal since the 1970s!
heehee!

So I will show you some things
inside my organizer later.

And last but not least......important for a road trip! heeheehee!

I love being organized and having books and art supplies handy and ready to go!
I also have a file folder for loose papers, stickers and cards and I NEED
a pencil box or pouch....I'm on the look out now!
And I next I want to get a sewing bag ready!
Stay tuned!

Such a lovely idea. Travelling is wonderful but there are always periods when you have time on your hands.
The flower motif on the bag is very pretty and detailed.

BTW I love your little doodle.....my mother reads doodles, I am sure she would have fun with that one......

Oh, I love this idea. I feel a trip to the store coming on.......I must say I am addicted to puzzle books, the word search ones. It has been said they keep your mind sharp. Time will tell....

Hi Diane...

What a great idea, my friend! A fun travel bag filled with all kinds of fun things to do is a great idea for traveling! Certainly a great idea when you do quite a bit of traveling too!!!

Wonderful idea, Diane! The "Backseat Driver's Manual" cracked me up..lol!

I am in the process of making up a bag of little goodies that will help to occupy my grandson, as I will be flying with him soon. I'm sure it will be an adventure as he is an active toddler.

I also have a bag of fun "diversions." As I do not travel much, I confess I take the bag when I am scheduled to be with my family. lol

I have kept a journal most of my adult life. Now I keep it online.

My doodling looks as if it were done by a three-year old. Yours looks like art.
