"Wednesday Wee Ones" Barbie Style!

I have been collecting dolls for several years and have enjoyed the baby dolls
and realistic toddlers but I've had so much fun seeing
Twyla and Lindsey's blog Two Crazy Crafters
and falling in LOVE with their Barbie dolls!
So when I had a chance to buy a small collection of Barbies...
I jumped on it!

And wrote Twyla and Lindsey an email as soon as I got home!
They were so great to share my joy and write back
to give me links and info about the Barbie dolls!

So here they are!

Which one is YOUR favorite?

I think they are all adorable and
really bring back memories of my childhood dolls.
I had lots of Barbies and some of the first ones made
( but those are all LONG gone!
My mother didn't save anything...unlike me! heehee!)
I'm anxious to find some extra outfits
and I would LOVE to find a case!
My sister, my favorite cousin and I all had Barbies,
cases and lots of accessories!
Of course I don't have ROOM for a big collection
but they sure are FUN and they are small! lol

Hope you enjoy seeing them all!

I have so many photos, I think I will save 2 of the dolls
to show another day!

Remember to take time to PLAY....
AND to remember your childhood toys and all the fun you had!
We can STILL have FUN!!!

Barbie's are such fun! You have some great ones--my favorite would have to be Ken in that aqua suit though I suppose if I saw a real man in that suit at the beach I would run the other way!
Take care...Kate

I have to pick Barbie & Ken that look like they're headed to the beach. They look more fun. I found your lovely blog from a comment you left at Daisy Cottage. It's nice to meet you. Blessings, Patty

I wish I still had my Barbies. I had lots of them, as I had doting grandparents to lavish me with any and everything Barbie that I wanted. But I gave them to my younger cousins as I "outgrew" them. Hind-sight....

I love Barbie, but I don't remember what happened to my dolls? I have a Twiggy and a Skipper somewhere. That is amazing that you have that many in such great condition!
Happy Earth Day Friend
Busy towing sailors today! Everyone is out boating!

Hi Dianna,
I finally got my post done for today. My Fibro and things a bit bad this week, so I am slow and not feeling to well.
My mom still tells the story of how I begged for my first Barbie in the early 60's. I still have her, she is a Bubble cut Barbie, like the second version of Barbie.
And I have alot of Barbies in my collection, MIB, but have sold some of them in recent years. I am keeping about half of them.
My favorite set is the My Fair Lady set with Mr. Higgins and all.
Fun post!
Hope you are well my friend!
Linda

A very nice collection you have started. Twyla & Lindsey are definitely the experts on all things Barbie. I have my originals in the attic. I suppose I should dig them out one of these days and start playing.

How fun! I just went to an estate sale that had hundreds of Barbies and I didn't buy one but now I wish I did! I love that Barbie in the blue dress.
*Let me know if you do decide to do a book post. I'd love to "hear" what you've been reading too!

It really does not seem that long ago when we used to save up our pocket money on a new outifit for our Barbie Dolls.

I love Barbies! Oh how I miss playing with mine. My childhood collection is gone too. Thanks for sharing and making us remember how much fun playing with Barbies can be again! My favorites are the ones with ballgowns. Have a great weekend!

Oh my goodness! You did find a great collection. I had a brown haired Barbie in the late 1950's. My sister had a blonde BArbie. I get mine out at Christmas and do a Dolly Tree for my office. Barbie stands near the tree looking so smart! Tiny Tears and Shirly Temple sit under the tree. All were Christmas Dolls from Santa.
I cut a few lavender blooms this afternoon for my bedroom. I thought of you!
