Welcome to Lavender Cottage!

Welcome to the 52nd Sunday Favorites...
"One Year" Birthday Celebration!!!

I am so happy to be a part of the FUN....ONE YEAR and going strong!
Visit Happy to Design for more party fun!

I went back a year to find this post! I thought you might enjoy seeing my home here in Florida! So here we go....

Our home in Florida REALLY is lavender! A beautiful pale shade of lavender!

So welcome to my home and join me in a tour of the study!

"Lavender Cottage" Art by Catherine Holman

I don't think I will call it my hobby room because I am sharing it with my hubby!

He has a small corner of the room for his computer....
and he gets the closet! heehee!

I love having all my craft and sewing supplies here...

but it didn't really feel complete until I got everything moved down here!

AND my Catherine Holman paintings framed!

Aren't they amazing!

I feel so inspired surrounded with beautiful art!

This was my first cross stitch....from many years ago!

I am so blessed! I know I will enjoy many creative hours here!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Now, just how cool is that? We, "well I", have a sewing basket exactly like that one. My wife does not, nor ever has sewn.

Your room to create (even if hubby is in there on his computer) is really great and you are so blessed to have the lovely paintings by Catherine. They look very nice grouped together that way.

Thanks for the tour. I don't think I have ever seen a lavender colored home before. It fits in down south but up here in western Canada it would be a completely different tone. Not so soft and pretty but would be muddy looking.
Your pictures are really cool. Great looking houses.

Your home is so neat and tidy! I try, I really do, but things get a bit of a mess..like tonight. I redid the top of my curio cabinet in the living room and ...the step stool is still leaning against the sofa, a few leafs are here and there on the floor. I got distracted trying to help Howard get our cell phones figured out..and ...
Anyway..it's NOT as neat as yours. I think...some just have the "neat" gene! :)
I think I would rather have that gene than dark hair back again!! I mean that! Makes me nuts!
Hugs,
An Admirer!

Hi Diane...

My friend, your home is gorgeous!!! Oooh...and I love that soft shade of lavender! Was just wondering if that is how your blog name came about? Girlfriend, it would be fabulous to have a room just for crafting (even if you are sharing it with hubby...hehe) It looks like a lovely room and I certainly can see how you would be inspired to craft with all of those pretties around you! I love, love, LOVE the Catherine Holman paintings! I have always admired her work! Diane, I love your study...thank you so much for sharing it with us this week for Sunday Favorites...what a sweet treat!!!

I also wanted to say thank you for stopping in and leaving such sweet well wishes for my Sunday Favorites "One Year" birthday celebration! I sure do appreciate that my friend!!! Thank you!!!

Have a super Sunday and best wishes to you in the gift card giveaway!

I can no longer be your friend. Your lovely home is just too neat and tidy.

Even as I look around the space where I am working, I am uneasy just thinking that somehow you can see my mess. Heehee

You have a lovely home and I love the color. If I had a Florida home I think I would like it to be pale peach.
