"Wednesday Wee Ones" Dum De Dum Dum !!!

I thought about it....I knew....I considered it.....
but then I talked myself out of it!

I found the most precious Sock Monkey at Goodwill.

I brought it home and soaked it for a total of 3 hours
(in lavender scented soap and then in a clean cool rinse).

I thought about taking photos of it first
but then I decided that if it fell apart in the rinse
I would just throw it away and not fret about it.

It was dirty and there's no way I would keep it in that condition.
Well, it came out beautifully....except for the tag!

I could just kick myself for not taking pics of it as documentation.
I have collected dolls and vintage items long enough to know that!
So the monkey came out wonderfully...
but the tag washed completely out and now IT IS GONE!
It read...."Made by the Blind" M. B. B. Raleigh, NC .

BOOHOO!
I hope I remember the lesson!
The only thing I found in a google search was a museum!
It's a good thing I collect just for the fun of it!

Enjoy your day!
Take time to PLAY... and to take photos! heehee!

Enjoy the view !!!Align Center

I love Sock Monkeys and yours is just to cute...he looks so very happy and thrilled to have found him a forever home. You did a great job cleaning him. I can almost smell the lavender scent coming through. A great find indeed.

Your new sock monkey has wonderful eyes! So cute. My brother had one when we were little.

I am enjoying the photo of the sky. It is very unusual!

Hi Diane,

I love your sock monkey, they are so cute. What a pity the label came off.

Pretty sky photo.

He is a special sock monkey. Cuter than most I think. I am sorry about the tag. He looks squeaky clean though.

The picture of the sky is so beautiful. My family calls me the cloud watcher as the sky is one of my very favorite things to look at. When I was a little girl I would lay on the grass and gaze up at the clouds for the longest times it seemed.

Hi, thanks for visiting my blog!
I LOVE ♥ Sock Monkeys! I have one that belonged to my husband when he was about 8 years old! I have two that I found in antique stores, there is something special about them. Yours is so cute, too bad about the tag though!

He's so cute! I know just6 what you mean about forgetting to document the things you do. I'm terrible about it. I usually remember just about the time I'm finishing a project!

I sure know what you mean about tags and such...
I once was an antique dealer...
