Celebrations!

It's rainy and cool outside but my house is so nice
and warm and smells divine!

My thoughts go back in time
to the birth of my second son.

He's 41 today....I know it's HARD to believe
that so much time has passed!
We live many miles apart but I am
celebrating this special day!

I always do something special on birthdays
even though I don't get to spend them with
my family very often.

Today I went to Blue Sky and got my favorite
sandwich....with the BEST side in the WORLD!
French fried sweet potatoes, sprinkled with kosher salt!

And then I baked pumpkin bread using Mary Jane's recipe!
And it is OUT OF THIS WORLD....DELICIOUS!

My hubby brewed a fresh pot of coffee
and we ate it hot out of the oven!

My mind is on happy thoughts and my heart is full today,
always a good time to celebrate! Where are the Fairy candles?

These photos were taken in the park yesterday!

The leaves are just starting to turn!

Enjoy your evening!

Happy Birthday Darrel!
Wish you could stop by for Pumpkin Bread!
I'll save you some!

By the way I love post to the left of your blog a song from 1880s.I copied it and would love to do it in caligraphy and put it on a wall in my home for the season up until Christmas.

It is so nice that you celebrate special days whether the person is close by or not.

The pumpkin bread looked so good.
I have never tasted french fried sweet potatoes. My newest love is french fried green beans, very good!

I loved the pictures of the Autumn leaves. They turn such pretty colors.
I know how fast time flies. My son turned 51 last March.

Okay, are you talking about Mary Janes farm recipe? What a dandy birthday day you've had. I buy myself flowers on my kids birthday...I figure, since I brought them into the world I get to sparkle that day too! You sound so happy and care free and I'm happy for you. I'm one of those happy souls too!
