Friends and Neighbors

It was another beautiful day in the mountains of NC! My hubby and I had some errands to run and decided to go a ‘round about’ way. I had a general idea of where my friend, Penny lived and not only did we find the house, we went ‘visiting’! They were having lunch on the front porch so we stopped to say Hello! And they were nice enough to put their lunch aside and show us the house.

Here’s the link to outside pics.. Click HERE!

She’s been showing us all the photos of their new house and all of the improvements they are making. The photos do not show the full beauty of the house and the area.  It really is lovely and all the changes are perfect!

Go to Penny’s site here….The Comforts of Home. I didn’t take photos….I felt bad enough that we drove up into their driveway without calling first. Her photos show the progress best anyway!

After that we went to Earth Fare and the HUGE REI store. There are so many neat things in the REI store that we want. It will be nice when we get ready to travel. We are still in the planning phase but that’s fun, too.

Later I walked at the park.

After walking for 1 hour ….that’s my routine now…I grabbed my camera for a few photos!

A man was fly fishing. A perfect day!

DSCN2539 I hope yours was great, too!

And thanks Penny and hubby for inviting us into your home! Come by and visit us soon!

Hi Diane!
We were thrilled that you found us and stopped by! Sorry about the painters clothes I was in...no make up either! lol.

We will definately get together before you leave....either at a restaurant (we love Southside Cafe) or at our house, if the dining chandelier arrives and we get it hung!
Hugs,
Penny

p.s. how was the squash soup from Earth Fare?

How "FUN", I just love Penny! What a great visit you must have had. The door is always open to a friend so I am sure Penny didn't mind you stopping by.
Have a great day and enjoy your walk later today.

I love that you just popped in at Penny's. Remember when people used to always do that? Now we all think we need to be invited. I'd rather have an open door. :)

You are doing so well with your walks! I have always walked but lately have just fallen out of the habit. Have to get back to it. With winter coming we need the sunshine.

I love the idea of friends stopping by. Rarely folks do that anymore. My mom used to make three pork chops stretch to five if she needed to. Pennys home is indeed beautiful. Thinking of you on this blustery cool night. We just came in from burgers out and sat down to watch Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, I know that does not surprise you!
