Mary Engelbreit sayings

I thought “Bloom where you are planted” was a common quote but I had some comments that said they had never heard it before and my hubby said he hadn’t either. So I did a little google search.

I’ve always loved Mary Engelbreit cards and items, I think that’s where I heard it.

It was fun finding unusual things on my search. I didn’t realize there was fabric, but look at this beautiful apron in this ETSY shop! And look at this dress HERE! In fact do a search in ETSY and you will find many beautiful things! I LOVE ETSY!

Visit Mary’s blog HERE! It’s packed with fun things to do and beautiful art!

I could kick myself. I use to have two of ME's books. One on indoor stuff and one on the outdoors. I gave it to the library at my husband's hospital. Kicking myself!!! I think I do still have one book of hers left though.

Hi Diane. You made me really stop and think because when I was a girl my best friend had a pillow on her bed that had that quote and I always loved it. This was long before Mary was around. Anyway, I just did some research and apparently nobody is exactly sure where the quote came from because it's been around forever. Interesting huh?

I just bought a new Mary calendar yesterday at Sam's! I was so excited because I tend to wait until the very end of the year and sometimes they are hard to find.

Mary's art has been loved for so long, by so many. I had the rare opprotunity to meet her a few years ago. She used to have a store in a city close to Seattle but she closed it after a couple of years. I went to one of her book signings. Like Pat, I miss Home Companion so much. I loved that magazine. I have her paper dolls on my post today.
