Holiday inspiration!

What do you like to use for inspiration?  There are so many beautiful examples of holiday decor on the blogs we enjoy. And books and magazines have page after page of great ideas.

I don’t ever choose a theme but after I’ve put things around the house, sometimes I notice a theme. This year, I fell in love with vintage Shiny Brite bulbs and candles.

A few photos of my bedroom.....

I need to hit a few more thrift stores! lol

And this is one of my favorite Christmas treasures. It’s a wire sleigh. I put something different in it every year. This year I added some greenery and a few bulbs.

Here it is in the window behind one of the sofas in the living room. I love RED!!!

I'm amazed at what inspires me...I never know what to expect and I find myself asking myself, why am I attracted to this or that? Lately my inspiration comes from those little frosted Christmas houses...I love to think of stories from behind those doors. I also love old gameboards...those have so many stories to tell...Happy Holidays my faithful friend!

Red and Green are my signature colors. I love red. Every room in our house has some accent of red in it. I guess that is my passionate side coming out and the green in my love of nature. Besides, Red and green are Christmas colors and Christmas just happens to be my favorite holiday.

I've grown quite fond of bowls of shiney Christmas ornaments myself! (my little secret... I love red and I have at least one red item in every room of the house... I think I'm the only one that knows... and now you know too!)

thanks so much for visiting, commenting and posting about my 300th post celebration! Good Luck. I can hardly wait to see who wins!

I love them all...the gold with small red, the different shades of pink and the all red. You're right, a crystal bowl would just make that arrangement.
I also LOVE your sleigh. You did a great job with it this year. So lovely.
And as for the post below with the "Great Egret"...what a hoot!! Thanks for sharing. : )

What a sweetheart you are! I am so glad you like my home! A wee cluttered for some...but you were so kind! If I had a crystal bowl I would send it to you!
I thought I might have one and climbed up to look in my cupboard, but I don't. I must have given it to a daughter! You are right though. Those Christmas ornaments would look beautiful in a crystal bowl! Actually, they look wonderful as they are. Crystal really catches the light Though. :)

Your sofa is just the most beautiful color...and look so comfortable!
AND, Snickerdoodles are my most favorite cookie. The smell wonderful and are delicious! I must bake some this year!
Hugs!
