'Surround yourself with beauty'

We've been in some of the homes of our neighbors lately and it's always fun to see how other people decorate. But mostly, it makes me want to do a little more in my own home! I can always find ways to improve and add beauty, can't you?

I want to share this beautiful bracelet and earrings that Diann from Diann's Art Spot sent me this week. We participated in the One World One Heart event that Lisa hosted at her blog A Whimsical Bohemian and I won her giveaway!

She wrapped it in beautiful paper with a little hand made heart on top.

Isn't it lovely....and perfect for me!

Thank you so much Diann! I will treasure it!

And to make my home more beautiful, I made a little flower arrangement for my dresser.

I bought my vase, bird and roses at Michael's...all on sale!

I had lots of pretty things on top

but I felt like it needed some color!

RED! (more than this little bit!)

What do you think? Is it too small for 'center stage'? I could put it on my nightstand and make another larger arrangement!

Enjoy your day and the beautiful things in your life!

Oh what a lovely win! When you wear it, get your hubby to take a pretty picture of you for us. I like your buffet. What a great piece!

Lucky you ... now you'll have to go somewhere special to wear them!

Your touch of red turned out well Diane and I like the way you have placed it centre stage ... perfect!

Warmest hugs,

Diane this was a wonderful jewelry set to win! It's so pretty! I also like the flower arrangement you made for your dresser.

I absolutley loved seeing your dolls and children's books in your prior post. I have been having fun lately taking out my grown children's toys that I saved out of storage and displaying them again. My grandson will have a lot to play with when he visits me from Colorado someday!

Thank you for your kind words on my blog ..I really appreciate them!

How elegant and pretty. I would expect no less from a Queen. The necklace is just stunning. Now hurry up Diane, quit playing decorating and get over to the bake sale. Martha Stewart is waiting for you!

Your print is being sent today, sorry it took so long, I've been sicky.
Anyway, be sure to take it out and press it flat when you get it. I included a couple of extra goodies too.
Don't you love getting surprises in the post.

I bought the same little vase at Michaels a few weeks ago. I haven't done anything with mine yet. Your arrangement is very pretty.

Congratulations on your lovely winnings!
The roses are lovely, but yes..I think it would be sweet on your nightstand and a larger one on your dresser. The size of your dresser could handle a lovely large one and still hold the smaller glass items and mirror.
But what do I know! :) That's a lovely dresser!

I wanted to thank you for the sweetest comment you made on my post. I will enjoy the silverware and it will go lovely with my delicate Brambly hedge tea set. The pattern is lovely for Spring!

Your tippy mirror is just beautiful..you DO have lots of pretties!! :)
Love and hugs,
Mona
