Shopping and other fun!

We always look forward to coming back to Western North Carolina to shop at our favorite stores and discover what’s new since we were here.  And the weather has been beautiful! I love the sun coming through the French doors that lead out to the balcony.

And the mountains…oh my…

they take your breath away!

I went to my favorite Thrift store, New Visions and found a sweet apron for $1.50.

I would consider this my ‘buy of the month’!

I love aprons and this one is precious! The print is so delicate!

We even drove into Asheville and went to T J Maxx and Home Goods. My hubby spotted this soap dispenser which is just what I’ve been looking for and he stood in the long check out line and bought it as a gift for me!

Our favorite Italian restaurant in this area has always been Iannucci's…a nice local owned and operated, true Italian restaurant that we’ve eaten at for years. And now they’ve opened a second location even closer to us! YAY! We’ve eaten there twice this week! lol I hope the lasagna diet will help me lose weight! heehee!

Hubby had a Calzone today…yummy!

What’s your favorite food to order at an Italian restaurant? I need to try something new! ; )

Hope you have a nice weekend planned. Have FUN! I need to get some exercise! lol

Your mountain photos are beautiful. As for Italian restaurants I'm a lasagna gal all the way! Or eggplant parmesan...but actually just being able to smell an Italian restaurant is almost enough for me. They always smell heavenly!

My favorite would have to be spinach calzone. Just thinking about it makes me hungry! :0) The mountains back-dropped by the sunset are lovely! What a beautiful view.

Love the photos of the mountains and love the meal you had at the italian restaurant, I would go for either lasagne alla bolognese or calzone or eggplant parmesan too, but also ravioli, risotto alla milanese are goodies that you can't miss out!

I would never tire of that beautiful mountain view. That lasagna looks fabulous. Are you sure you want to try something different ;-)?
Love that sweet apron. I also love Asheville. We were there a couple of months ago and stayed in a nice B & B. So fun.

Hmmm, that lasagna looks so good that I can't imagine that you need recommendations for anything else. (I gave the leftover lasagna to the family and didn't get any. Welcome to my pity party. Ha!)

Wonderful mountain views and that sky is fabulous!

Hi Diane,

What a sweet apron you bought.
Also love the view from your window, of the mountains.
Lasanga is one of my favourites, and a calzone or pizza is my other choices.

Happy weekend

Hi Diane!
Your girl with the curl has arrived! The two of you remind me of my hubby and I. Were always on an adventure. Today were going to a antique show out in the country. Your vintage apron is darling...so cute. I wonder who wore it and what her story was? Come on back aboard The Piccadilly. We arrive on Jelly Bean Island on April 15th!

What lovely mountain photos! So breathtaking. I cannot believe the size of that lasagna! That's enough for three meals - perhaps more! Glad to hear you enjoyed your visit. Theresa

Years ago there was a rather famous restaurant in Florida called Patti's Italian Restaurant and people came from far away to eat there. I don't remember the name of the dishes anymore...darn it, but I do remember how good it all way. Spamoni ice cream is the only name I remember and I'm afraid that is a very common Italian dessert. Nope...wish I could help. :)
Your photo's of that sky are just beautiful!
