Your blue Florida skies look very similar to our Oklahoma skies today. :)

The books look great! My two favorites of all time are Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man by Fannie Flagg and Light a Penny Candle by Maeve Binchy. Have you read either? They are the kind of stories that stick with you for a lifetime.

Thank you for having a give away. I'm already a follower. :)

Hi Diane! I'm already one of your followers and I absolutely love to read. I love mysteries and the supernatural. One of my most all-time favorite reads is "The Princess Bride" by William Goldman. Love the book and love the movie, too!

Thanks for hosting the give away and the opportunity to participate!

XOXO,

Cyndi

I'll have to try this author, as I'm not familiar with her. I love most anything by Elizabeth Berg. Talk Before Sleep was a favorite of hers. Alice Munro is another favorite of mine.

Funny that Brenda mentioned Elizabeth Berg. I just finished her book Open House and thought it was so well-written. Isn't reading in a lounge chair in the sunshine one of the best restful activities ever? :)

Wow, I love your bluebird perched on that flag. I just clicked to follow you. I love reading, and although I have read some recent favorites, I was arranging my bookshelves and came across my all time favorite by Rosemond Pilcher, the Shell Seekers. I love that book.

Yes it's been very warm here... A friend and I drove to Hudson Beach yesterday evening just before sunset. Sam's had a Calypso band and was crowded. The beach was pretty busy... We didn't stop, just looked at the sky and felt the onshore breeze, then came home. The last fiction book I read was "Sophie" a story about a young southern woman who falls in love with a native born American of Japanese descent, just as Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. It was a good book, with and unexpected ending. I'd love to read Garden Spells! Thanks for the giveaway!

Guess I am going to Barns and Noble tomorrow since Ashville, NC is so far from here. On seperate trips to Asheville I found signed copies of both her books in a small downtown book store.

I love going in small local bookstores when I travel. That's where I find the signed copies of local authors.

I love your blog, keep up the good work.

I live in Port Saint Lucie, Fl. so we or sort of neighbors.

Oh, to pick one of my favorites is very difficult but I really liked The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. My next very favorite one would have to be The YaYa Sisterhood.
It just looks so wonderful in Florida. When are you two heading back to your other home? I bet its really hard leaving Florida.
Well, Thanks for all your comments Diane and prayers. I haven't heard anything in a day or so and I don't want to become a pest, but the last I heard was that she was feeling better and coming home. Yea!

What beautiful photos! We've finally had some beautiful weather here in New England.
Thank you for all your sweet posts to my blog! :) Makes my day to read them.
As far as a recent book... hmm... I started "The Time Traveler's Wife" three times but haven't ever finished it. Does that count? That's what happens when you have kids. Ha.

I'd love to be entered into your book giveaway--I'm not familiar with her novels, but it looks fascinating. I'm really behind on "current" books. Right now, I'm reading "Emma" by Jane Austen. But I just finished reading "The Elegance of the Hedgehog" that my neighbor suggested. It was really thought provoking.
Heaps of Hugs,
Cheryl

My introduction to Sarah Addison Allen was listening to the audio version of Sugar Queens. I think you would like it too. I have the two you mentioned saved on my wish list! I love just about all the Jodi Piccoult books! I still have a few of hers I haven't read yet.

I see you are enjoying FL and have made some more nice beach trips. We're enjoying the weather too!

Hugs,
Lallee

Hi Diane,

I love all your pretty photos, the blue sky looks lovely.
I have not read any of Sarah Addison Allens and it is good when someone recommends a good read.
A book I enjoyed recently was French Women don't get fat, by Mireille Guiliano.

Enjoy your week
