My new Reading List…and a few festival pics!

I have always wanted to add a reading list to my blog and write reviews and maybe even show a photo of the book…but I have not found a gadget that will help me do that, so for now….it is just a list! I put it on the left of my text at the bottom. I listed some of the books I’ve read this year. ( I left out the ones that weren’t good! lol) I hope you’ll take a look and see what kind of books I like and give me some recommendations! I would love to know what you’re reading! I just finished Runner by Thomas Perry…it’s GOOD!!!

This is what I bought! I have always wanted one of these wrap around silver spoon rings and this one was perfect! I love to wear silver!

Hope you’re having a wonderful Monday! Have you read a good book lately? Let me know! Thanks!

An apple festival sounds like so much fun. Your silver ring is perfect. Is that one of the spoon handles? Love it!

Looks like you had fun at the festival. Last year I bought a bracelet made out of old silverware and I love it. I know you will enjoy your ring. I have not read a whole lot this summer, but I did read, Eat, Pray, Love and I also read The Help. Love & blessings from NC!

Would you believe that I'm still wading through the same biography I started last spring? It's not the author's fault; it's mine. I can't settle down to read unless it's from a computer screen.

Oh I hope that you tried some homemade ice cream. Was it good? What flavor?

Hi Diane!
We went to the apple fest on Sat...it was sooo crowded!

Love your book list. I see you read books by Sarah Allen Addison and Elizabeth Berg. I have read all of their books and loved them all. A few other books I loved recently were:
The Help
Shanghia Girls
Snow Flower and the Secret Fan

The entire Outlander Series (read in order) by Diana Gabaldon

The Mitford Series by Jan Karon (read in order of pub date starting with At Home In Mitford.

I am reading Eat, Pray Love right now...

Penny

I'm reading a Dorthea Benton Frank book right now. She spoke at our book club and was a hoot. I had never read any of her books before.
I believe she's from the Carolinas.
I just finished Water for Elephants. I happen to be on the lot they were filming the movie and the giraffe trotted over to me and rested it's chin on my shoulder! It was a fabulous experience...I loved that giraffe!
I usually like mysteries. Loved Robert B. Parker.

Your new ring is very pretty! An apple festival sounds like fun. We used to go apple picking upstate NY every fall when our children were young. I miss it!

The only books I've read lately were ones to help me prepare for our vacation. I'm going to the library tomorrow to look for some new books. I've read every book Elizabeth Berg writes, and also Anita Shreve.

Did you read "Water For Elephants"? It is a historical fiction about the early circus days. Very vivid!

Love your silver spoon ring!! I have a bracelet made from two silver spoons that I purchased at a craft show a few years ago.
Been to busy getting ready for my Fall show to read any books here lately, but I sure do love to read.

Apple festival! How fun! Someday I hope to live somewhere that has fun stuff like that. I love your silver spoon ring. I like silver, and that looks nice on you! I'm terrible about reading. I love, it, but get caught up doing other things. I like Dean Koontz and I'm still in the middle of Strangers, but I'm also reading a photography book called Visual Poetry.

It looks like the Apple Festival was a fun time. The weather sounded perfect! Your ring looks very pretty. Do you come over for the Homosassa Seafood Festival in the fall? I have had to miss it the past few years due to schedule conflicts. Maybe this year!

I haven't been reading any fiction lately--too busy reading books to prep for Bible study starting this week.

You have such pretty hands. Mine look a thousand years old. Why don't you sign up with TLC Book Tours? They send me free books, I review them. Win, win situation.

Your new ring is very pretty and looks nice on you.
I'm currently reading (& loving) The Help. I am also a big fan of Elizabeth Berg.

I like your book list and how you rate each book, Thursdays are my library days--thanks for the recommendations! The apple festival looks great, it's still pretty warm here, it's hard to envision apples and fall!
I have never seen a ring like that, it's very pretty.

Love your spoon ring. I have one made from the tines of a fork but I don't wear it too often....it's huge!

Homemade ice cream sounds so good right now.

I love Shelfari.com It's a gadget I have on my sidebar. You can write your own reviews there. It's fun to add "books" to your shelf too. I just finished "The Help" and "Left to Tell" both were fantastic!! I love books :)

The pics of the apple festival look like it was so much fun.

Great idea for your reading list. I just finished the book Roses by Leila Meacham. It was her first novel and it was great. I hope she has more in the works.

Have a great week my friend.

Hey Diane! Looks like you had a beautiful day for the apple festival. And the ring you bought is perfect....I have a spoon ring, too...somewhere in all my stuff! LOL!!!

I absolutely love to read - mostly mysteries and fantasy stuff - but haven't had much chance lately due to getting ready for the Craft Fair. But look out this winter because I'll be reading up a storm!

XOXO,

YES! I am late on this comment...but it's been ..never mind. I am just LATE! I have posting issues..or did have.

I just wanted to tell you that I am reading a wonderful book..and after I read it the first time I immediately started it over. I LOVE historical novels, factual ones..and I am reading "We Two."
It is about Queen Victoria and Prince Albert...and I love it.
It may not be your cup of tea..but I found it amazing.
Is that a spoon ring you are wearing? I would love to have one of those and I have been looking at them.
Hugs,
Mona
