Should we ALL dress in Autumn colors?

We took a drive to our property in Bluff to hike on the land and

DSCN9071

take photos of the beautiful Fall foliage!

DSCN9056

Driving from Asheville, through Hot Springs to Bluff takes us along the Appalachian Trail…..

DSCN9059

and right by Rocky Bluff Campground in the Pisgah National Forest.

DSCN9078

So we stopped to walk around….and take MORE photos…

DSCN9081

and we almost missed this ‘critter’!

DSCN9082

Do you think he got the memo to dress in Autumn attire?

DSCN9083

We can’t imagine what he was doing in the near deserted campground but he was a fun surprise!

Have you ever seen anything like him? Enjoy your day! Wear something colorful! heehee!

Simply Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Our trees are a little behind this year in changing...must be from the dry weather this summer. I love the fall tapestry that Mother Nature bestows on us.

No, I haven't seen anything quite like him, but he's beautiful. Doesn't quite look like a chicken. Not sure what it is. What gorgeous scenery you have around there!

Could it be the "old red rooster" is in hiding? Maybe he heard "she'll be comin round the mountain" planning to have "chicken and dumplins". Surely you remember the other line of that song!
