Would you take this on a trip?

Pack this in your bag?

DSCN1333

Or maybe this?

DSCN1334

A small piece of luggage would be easier to carry!

DSCN1329

So what do these have in common?

DSCN1332

Do they resemble the small plastic box full of sewing notions?

DSCN1335

They are ALL sewing kits!

DSCN6812

 DSCN6811

Aren’t they adorable!

I found this one at the Thrift store this week!

DSCN1331

Isn’t it sweet? (and it’s stamped JAPAN inside!)

DSCN1330

So now I have a collection.....

3 little sewing kits!

And while I was at the Thrift store

a lady walked in with an unusual ‘scarf’!

0208011429

It’s a ‘night monkey’ and was tiny and cute

but a little scary! heehee!

One lady said, “NOW I’ve seen EVERYTHING!“

sun ENJOY YOUR DAY! sun

Come to Florida if you’re cold

or if you want to see a monkey!  island

These are so darn cute! What a lovely item to collect, hope you find a bunch more.

My vintage sewing kit is an old Almond Roca tin, filled with all my grandmother's darning and embroidery notions. She kept it by her easy chair and when I would visit, she'd pull it out and teach me how to darn socks and embroider pillow cases. I've had it now for forty-six years and still love to pull it out and go through her things, knowing she touched each item.

Adorable, simply adorable! Would love to come to Florida about now. This was the time I truly loved living there! XO

I love the little sewing kits, so cute! My friends had a monkey, and it grew up to be incredibly mean. They had to give her to a zoo. She sure was cute when she was little, though! We see monkeys when we take the boat on the Silver River! They live in the wild here!

Oops, forgot I had been blogging!

How cute are those! I need to pay more attention to things that don't look to be of interest to me!
Now the monkey would scare me - a little!

Oh Diane, those little sewing kits are sooooo adorable. I especially love the little tiger/kitty one. Just too cute. And I don't believe I've ever gone into a store and seen a woman "wearing" a monkey...that's a bit odd! But the little monkey is cute. Wonder what she does when it has to go potty? :o)

I'll be on the lookout now for little sewing kits whenever I go antiquing, keeping you in mind!

Have a great day!

XOXO,

Cyndi

Love your little sewing kits!! I have a pair of scissors just like the ones in your kits.
That little monkey is too cute!! I've seen folks carrying them around at craft fairs, but never in a store before.

Those are just adorable. I have a small collection of Scottie/dog measuring tapes & some time take one of my little treasure with me to a class.

As for wearing a monkey...no...I would definitely NOT do that.

That collection sure won't take up any room. I think I would be a bit startled on seeing that little monkey though he is cute.

Cute kits...the monkey is cute, too, but have heard they are MEAN. I can't believe people that get so close to a wild animal. I remember, not too many years ago, a "pet" monkey just about ate the owner's friend's face off. Scary!!

Those really are adorable.. and so is the monkey!!! OMG I love him!... what a face! They are really only good pets for the people who know what they are doing with them, and sadly some don't end up in good hands.
