Beauty of the Ocean

I brought more beauty into my living room!

DSCN3893

We bought this painting at an Art Show this weekend.

DSCN3654

(no I didn’t ride a horse! lol )

DSCN3890

Hubby had just put a small bookcase in this space...

DSCN3485

and now we’ve changed the painting above it.

DSCN3484

The hanger showed so we placed a seashell on top to hide it

DSCN3892

but that will be changed soon, too! lol

I don’t live right on the coast so I surround myself with art that reminds me of places I’ve been! This painting is by local Florida artist, Toby E. Gage.

Don’t you love his card?

DSCN3888

And visit Completely Coastal today to see some more of my

‘ocean decor’! I’m so excited to have one of my photos featured!

DSCN3229

Thanks Maya!!!

I’m joining Kim for Wow Us Wednesday!

And Faded Charm for White Wednesday!

What kind of art do you love best?

I like high realism, similar to the art in this post. Your print is so pretty :D I do love that business card. I like artists with a sense of humor!

Oh I love that art, it is so you! I do not have a specific art that I love. If it speaks to me, it's mine:)

That is so pretty and looks perfect in that space. I love nautical/beachy type art and the special paintings people have made for me. My mother and brother were both artists.

Hi Diane! I just went through some of your posts that I missed...I love all your pillows and that beautiful red floral is my favorite. I'm going to have to try some of those creams from the pink bow bath boutique, how fun and all those wonderful scents to choose from...yum! I would try the cherry cotton candy first it sounds sweet and summerish...LOL! your new painting is beautiful too, you have such wonderful adventures and you find the neatest things. Have a wonderful Easter! hugs, Jennifer

Hello Diane! I like the painting. It looks indeed so refreshing. And the idea of placing a shell on top is brilliant.

I thought the horse was real for a moment! I love the mosaic you did this week, very attractive as was the lave you found. I might just try wrapping some around an old cushion, thanks for the inspiration. Sorry I have not commented on each post individually, although I have read them in my reader I have trouble keeping up with you posting every day. :)

That painting is WONDERFUL, so relaxing to look at, such like being at the shore. The artist is so talented, I love finding artwork from local artists and we do have some great ones here in Florida, don't we?

I had to laugh when I saw the pic of you with the horse. Framed, I have one of my family and one of my cousin's family with Hopalong Cassidy. I know you must remember him!

I know you must have had a wonderful time, the weather was gorgeous!!!

Hugs
