*Ice Cream Social*…less than 100 calories!

It’s time to join A Musing Potpourri for the social event of the season!

Ice Cream Social

Summer is the season for ICE CREAM!

So here is my ‘less than 100 calorie’ solution to joining in on the FUN!

1/2 Cup Breyers Carb Smart Ice Cream = 90 calories

Root Beer = 0 calories

DSCN5556

As all of my regular readers know….I can’t eat sugar any more for various reasons! And YES…I KNOW artificial sweeteners are not good for you either! But when I want to splurge and have a dessert (that is not fruit!) I can have this sweet treat! Nothing should be eaten in excess! I don’t drink diet drinks! But I did buy this A & W Root beer and this carton of Sugar Free Ice Cream for a summer time treat!

And I think some of it ‘melted’ when I brought it inside! My props are disappearing! heehee!

It’s beautiful sitting on my balcony with a good book…

(I’m reading “There’s Something About St. Tropez” by Elizabeth Adler!)

and a French magazine….

looking out over the Blue Ridge mountains!

Nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina in the summer!

I’m also linking with the Kitchen Boutique!

Why don’t you join it?!

I guess that there are a number of ice cream socials about! I enjoy a good old-fashioned float and the diet soda does save a lot of calories. Enjoy that Carolina morning!

Hi Diane,
I have been out of touch with the blogs for a few days while spending time with my girlfriend, Lori, who was visiting from Houston. Your float looks delicious! My Dad used to love these so much! When I think of him I always think of icecream which he loved his whole life. I would love to know how like this book you are reading and also would love to know the name of the French magazine. I don't think I have ever seen the magazine and might look for it. It looks like you are having a relaxing time there. Enjoy!!!! xoxo Kim

What a fantastic view to enjoy your float from! I love that its lo cal and I'm sure still very tasty. That's one thing I do love about ice cream these days. They make so many that are "affordable" when dieting lol. Thanks for joining in at the Social. Mark your calendar because we will do it all again next year!

Hi Diane!

Thank you so much for joining in on the fun. A root beer float has a way of hitting the spot on a hot summer day.

I think A&W makes the best Diet Root Beer, too.

Wow, that root beer float looks just as good as a fattening one. like I made for my post :( lol. I have to curb my, ahem, enthusiasm with all things sweet too. Thanks for stopping by and for your nice comment. I am going to have a look around your pretty blog. xo,
