Smoke Signals?

I changed the look of my blog and I am sending you smoke signals in my new banner! Do you know what the message is?

According to Wikipedia, “The smoke signal is one of the oldest forms of communication in recorded history. It is a form of visual communication used over long distance. In general smoke signals are used to transmit news, signal danger, or gather people to a common area.”

And if you are on a small laptop like I am….there is a pole coming out of the top of my head (on my profile pic)! lol Do you see it?

My hubby went to work on some land that we have nearby and came home with a bouquet of roses for me!

What do you think he’s been doing all day? heehee! Of course I KNOW he found this can in the ditch and it was perfect to bring the roses home in…like he said. Do you know why I’m so sure? Because he would never drink a ‘light’ beer! lol

And aren’t these shadows pretty on the wall in the living room?

The sun is shining through the iron rail on the balcony…..

Enjoy your holiday weekend! I’m sending you a ‘signal’ to have FUN!!! I’ll be eating hot dogs and playing with grandkids! What are your plans?

I love the new look! And isn't it grand when we get these pretty free "shows" from simple things like the sun shining through and reflecting something unusual!? We need to SLOW down in life and look for these beautiful things -- thanks for sharing your 'wall art' with us! Enjoy the weekend -- sounds like you'll be having great fun! Low key for us but looking forward to our annual fireworks display in town! Have a safe 4th!

Hello Diane! We also have iron railings in our windows. I haven't noticed the beautiful shadow or silhouettes it bring. They are indeed lovely. I would like to clarify also if you have transferred your residence. Remember my promise of giving you a present? The gift is still with me. Sorry to keep you waiting but I'm just too busy over the past months. I don't know if I still have your correct address. In any case, can you give me a response through email. Thanks.

Oh and happy weekend too! Have a great one my friend.

Living in the Rocky Mountain West, when we see smoke we explore. Wild fires start so easily here and we are always cautious. Have a safe and happy 4th!

Love the roses and the special "vase."

My July 4th will be quiet. I no longer can handle the hoopla of holidays. But I will sedate my kitty and watch the fireworks from my apartment.

Hope your holiday is fun-filled.

Clever rose vase! There are no directions for the crochet. I made it all up and improvised as I went along. It is about shape and color.
