My dad raised chickens and roosters (and turkeys) of all kinds, even the exotic ones. My step mom collected chicken/rooster figurines and statues. When ever I see anything to do with chickens or roosters, it brings back fond memories of daddy and Doris.

I popped over from Shelia's and just loved seeing all your neat yard birds, and that real one was something else. He is just GORGEOUS. I clicked over to the other post, and he was amazing with all the fall foilage. I'm with you... what on earth IS he doing there? Whatever he's doing, he's am amazing sight!

My goodness..I will have to go see what that ..oh so real...Rooster is all about. They really are a beautfiul addition to any kitchen..or any place else in the house. I mean, I DO have one in the living room. :)

Love those little chicks! I collect chicks, partly because we raise chickens, partly because they are so darn cute! A chick was the first pet my dad every let me have, so maybe that's part of it too...
