A Peanut Butter and Jelly kind of trip!

We drove up to some land we own in the mountains of NC near the Tennessee border…

DSCN6216

and yes, we took peanut butter and jelly sandwiches…and some delicious ripe plums!

BluffAug1

The next day I stopped at Goodwill and

found this book entitled ‘Dining Out’ by Mary Engelbreit.

Here’s what she said in the introduction….

DSCN6295

Want to know my favorite shortcut to making a good meal great? Just take it outdoors. Even an ordinary peanut butter and jelly sandwich seems like something special if you enjoy it with a view of a lovely tree…”

I couldn’t help but smile…

and then make a Mosaic for Mosaic Monday!

I’m joining Mary at the dear little red house!

I hope you will, too!

When was the last time you packed peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and went for a picnic? Nothing else beats it!

Isn't that funny that you had just had yourself a pb&j picnic? I think I may have to go get a giant tablespoon of peanut butter now. Lovely photos!

Love ME and have to say that things do taste better outdoors! Stunning pictures!

Now peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are not something I've ever tried. They're just not a usual sandwich here in my part of the world and I have to admit, sound a little weird! But, with views like that I'd be willing to try one! What a stunning spot!

I don't need a special occasion to have PB&J!!! I have it too often! It does make a picnic fun. Stunning photos. Looks like a lot of fun!

Hi,
Thanks so much for stopping by and following my blog. I am now following you. Hubby and I vacationsed in NC 3 years ago. We loved it! It was absolutely gorgeous. I agree, everything tastes better outdoors. Even if it's in your own yard. Everything M.E. is so cherry or cheery.

Love the pictures. I enjoy spending as much time as I can outdoors. We made two picnics this weekend and enjoyed the nice weather here in upstate NY.

Beautiful pictures and country. I love NC! as you know I'm from Knoxville, TN and I miss the mountains so much. It's been a while, but love PBJ's!

Just catching up with you today. we've been away for a couple of weeks. I LOVED seeing pictures from the land you own. WOW it must be so special to go there and picnic. It looks so beautiful and peaceful. We had 2 picnics last week when we went to London for day trips. We always find a garden or park area in which to enjoy them, it saves lots of money and time finding somewhere suitable.

Beautiful, beautiful pictures! The last time I did a PB&J picnic was when we took the boat up the Silver River. I love having a picnic on the boat. Next time we go to the beach I should take some along, too! Love them, but it's more like a treat for me.
