*Hens on the nest*

While we’ve been here in NC, I’ve visited a few of my favorite thrift stores and added a few pretties to my china cabinet.

I’ve never had any of these precious hens….

but I sure do love them and I found TWO!

My china cabinet is full of things I love.

Just a few things I’ve collected over the years!

I have 2 hens now….

I always enjoy seeing other's collections. Your hens are the perfect addition. I think my Chinese checkers collection that I have hanging on my craft room wall are one of my favorite collections.

Happy Tuesday!

Your hens are sweet. I don't collect anything. I did collect bears once and every birthday and Christmas etc some would give one. Pretty soon, I had way too many. So no more collections for me :-)

Oh, I just love those hens. My mom had some of those and I always get such a nice feeling when I see them. Looks like you have a beautiful collection. I collect Antique books and ephemera. I used to collect teapots, but now I have so many, that I have moved onto books.

Have a beautiful day.

Sweet hens! I love chickens, and those little ceramic birds you've got are wonderful! I don't officially collect, but I do tend to accumulate white bird thingies... have a wonderful day!

Oh mercy, sweet friend, I collect EVERYTHING! But nothing to any huge extent. At one time I sort of began to overdo it with the Teddy Bears..then cups and saucers then this and then that...and finally now I think I am hooked on tiny cream pitchers..with delicate flowers.
Mostly I have a bit of this and a bit of that. Sort of like yours..things I love. What better to collect than things you love. Your little red church is just the sweetest thing. My favorite piece in the entire cabinet.
How fun to peek in someone cabinet! :)

I would say that I'm not collecting anything, but my home would tell the truth! I think those sweet white hens add a brightness to that cozy corner that is very pleasant.

Your cabinet of treasures is so pretty. I collect shells, seaglass, and anything with Snoopy on it. Unfortunately my shelves don't look quaint and elegant like yours.

Those are so pretty. I especially love that you too have your china up and that it's not painted. ;) I thought I was the only one left in blogland.
I used to love to collect picture frames but since I started simplifying I got rid of a lot. I think now what I love to collect the most are journals.
Which reminds me, thank you for the lovely quote and for entering the Starbucks giveaway.
Much love!

I forgot to mention that I'll be selecting a few quotes throughout the week and linking them to One Heart at Home's facebook page along with your blog address. Just did so with yours.
PS-I could almost smell the lavender. ;)

You have quite an impressive collection of things. You have a nice large china cabinet to display them in too. Over the years I have collected several things for my daughters. The time has slowly come over the years to let them each have their collections of teacups, the Christmas houses, and Lord please take the tubs of Beanie Babies!

Oh, I see some beautiful pottery pieces! And there's a little white vase with horsehair glaze!!! Did you get that from the guy who specializes in this style in Seagrove? We have two bigger ones - one white and one orange. We collect pottery and other handmade treasures such as old antique sewing tools, rabbit & bird art, baskets, and Eskimo art.

I love your hens! Collecting is so fun! I love vintage kitchen items. Especially if they are red and white. I also love tartain plaid thermoses, coolers, etc. Love wooden crates and metal chicken feeders for garden planting. Boy, the list could go on and on. Old windows and doors are right up there. Just bought some fun architectural pieces I hope to hang on a large wall I have before Christmas.

I just did a post on one of my collections. Stop by and check it out when you get a chance. It looks like you are having some fun adding to your collection of pretties. Isn't it a thrill to find something someone else no longer wanted and that it fits right in with the things you enjoy?
