~Wishing you a Fairy Tale Day~

Thumbelina by Hans Christian Andersen

DSCN8630

...the flower opened and the woman was surprised to find a tiny maiden sitting inside. She was only a thumb’s length in height and so the woman called her Thumbelina.

DSCN8632

Thumbelina was very happy to be saved by the goldfish.

DSCN8631

They gave Thumbelina a pair of lovely crystal wings to wear.

There was dancing and rejoicing

and they all lived happily ever after.

Those were the good old days when my Mom read fairy tales to me. Thumbelina is a very cute one and I also liked The Three Little Pigs. I wish every child had a Mom who would read these sweet stories to them. --------Shannon

My grandmother used to read me Thumbelina and if I close my eyes and listen, I can still hear her voice. I hadn't thought of that story in years. Thanks for taking me back...
