Why yes I can and I can play the piano and I have all my Christmas books out, too. Though none are as totally charming as the ones you are showing today. I didn't even know that Christmas Carols were printed in the Golden Books, that's how old they are! LOL! You're ready to run me out now, Diane! My favorite Christmas carol? Oh I think I've even written about it, but I might not choose the same one. I truly love them all. Did you happen to watch the CMA Christmas show last night?

I have such fond memories of the Little Golden Books. I had a headboard with a shelf and it was full of the books. I don't recall the Christmas hymns. My favorite is Away in a Manger. I can sort of play it and sing it too. ;)

I wish I had my childhood books! Yours are so very special!

My favorite Christmas song is...
Do You Hear What I Hear...and I cannot sing, just ask my kids!

Oh, I just love the cover on the Christmas Carols one, but all the illustrations are so sweet!

My favorite is O Holy Night, especially if sung by the right person!

I also love those little books as a child and still appreciate them as an adult. I was so proud when I learned to read them by myself. I like most Christmas music and carols except Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer which is my brothers favorite. Honest. ---------- Shannon

What lovely sweet treasures. I have these as well, but I have only had them as an adult so they don't hold all the precious memories that yours do. I do love them though.

But..of course I can sing. All Grandma's can sing.. :) Favorite song? Ummmm...That would probably be..ummm..."Silver Bell's!"
Ring-a-ling, hear them ring? Soon it will be Christmas day! :)

I have quite a few Little Golden Books, but I don't think I have any Christmas ones. Those hymnals are amazing. Love the graphics in them.

Oh, what a treasure! In my Christmas box every year I bring out the pictures of my brother and I sitting on santa s lap, the older I get the more they mean to me!

I'd have to say, I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...Us Florida girls can only dream!

Love your music books. So glad you still have them. I love Silver Bells also, but have to say my very very favorite holiday song that always makes me smile and cry is Christmas in Dixie!!

I have those two little books too! They were also from my childhood days. I cherish them.
I'm afraid I don't sing very well but that never seems to stop me when it comes to Christmas carols!
I love them all. I guess if I had to pick a favorite it would be Silent Night(brings tears to my eyes)and O Come All Ye Faithful...And Oh Holy Night...and Silver Bells...And...Well, you see where I'm going...it's endless. I love them all.

What fun! I especially love seeing your name in the front cover. As many golden books as I own, I've never seen your books. So sweet.

Well, I can't sing (but I do anyway) and I can't play the piano (had 5 years of lessons!) My favorite songs are O Holy Night and Sleigh Bells!

I loved my Golden Books but I don't remember having any hymnals. My favorite Christmas songs are: O Holy Night sung by John Berry and Michael Buble's new cover of White Christmas.

These books are priceless, and charming. I love all the Christmas hymns like Silent Night, Oh Come All Ye Faithful, It Came Upon a Midnight Clear, etc.

Away In a Manger has always been my favorite Christmas carol. I can't sing, and am rather self conscious about it, but when no one's around I'll sing. Seriously, I can't even sing with my Australian Shepherd in the room because he goes berserk! But a loooong time ago, when I was in the second grade, our teacher taught us to sing Silent Night in German and I still remember most of it, so I guess that means while I can't carry a tune in a bucket, my mind is like a steel trap! heheheh Happy Weekend!!!

remebering Little Golden Books...(and Diane Tucker!)
I wonder who illustrated those books?
Eloise Wilkins, or Tasha Tudor or someone else?

Love those books. They are precious. I remember them when I was young. And I think I love Joy to the World the best, then SIlent Night, then Jingle Bells. Such wonderful memories.

I love Little Golden Books, too. I have fabric with the design from the inside cover. I am saving it for just the right "vintage" project. Thank you for sharing your books.
