“A Little House of Your Own”

Today is the day to share vintage Story Books with Corey HERE

lvsb

and I was inspired by Kim’s beautiful dolls houses on her blog HERE.

I know I could ‘play’ with my house more to customize it

but I do love having it in the doll room.

I love the two little girls in the book, Lila and Jane.

But this is the book that you see on my coffee table in the lanai.

Don’t you love the black and white drawings in this book?

Do you have a favorite childhood book?

My ‘all time’ favorite is “Heidi” but I’ll leave that for another post!

Ahh this makes me think of all the dolls I had when I was younger. I also had a beautiful doll house that I spent many hours playing with when I was young. As for books I really liked a lot so I can't narrow it down to a favorite.

Oh that book does look charming! I also loved Heidi both as the book and as the Shirley Temple movie.

I still have my childhood dollhouse up in the attic, complete with most of the original furniture that came with it. The only think that didn't come with the house was a family, which I've always thought was odd. I used to play with tiny baby dolls instead.

That book looks like one I would have liked as a child too. I remember reading "The Doll's House" when I was a youngest. I loved it except for the end when one of the dolls "died".

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

What a cute meme..I don't have a many vintage books. Wish I would have kept more of mine from years back. I love the Little House books though.

I have kept many of the vintage books to read to my grandkiddos.

I lost my childhood favorite and never found it again. It was called Diggie. Later on The Secret Garden stole my heart.

God bless ya and have yourself a wonderful weekend!!!

Beautiful!
I love those black and white illustrations. My sister and I used to make tents under the washing line just like the one pictured.

This is my first time stopping at your blog...thank you for taking a moment to visit my blog. :)

I did ALOT of reading when I was younger...even Heidi...but I'd say that my favorite books were the Donna Parker mystery books. I had lots of them. I need to see if I can find them again.
