“An Art Show” Mosaic Monday

We walked over to the auditorium for a community Art Show yesterday and it always amazes me to see how many talented people live right in my own neighborhood!

DSCN0775

I fell in love with so much of the art, especially scenes of Florida!

These stood out as some of the most beautiful!

So what did I buy? Some cards of course and this!

I wish I could buy the original but for now I will be happy with a print!

beautiful art, love those owls and the egret, (is it a crane or an egret?) you arew lucky to be able to just walk to these events,,we are able to walk to this sort of thing here but they have nothing going in winter, thats because everyone goes to FLORIDA in winter, I think you call us Canadians Snow Birds in Florida,, 6 couples from our building go every October and don't come back until spring.

What a treat it is to visit a good art show, and to be able to bring something home with you. I was drawn to the shells on the tile in the upper left side of your mosaic.

Oh, I can see why you loved it. Those are beautiful, are they tiles?

What else did you bring home?

Hi Diane, lovely to hear from you - the chair I painted but Laurie, you know from (http://laurie-whentheboughbreaks.blogspot.com/) - she is my neighbour and friend, she made the doll especially for me for that chair. We practically visit each other daily and I saw the lovely card you sent her. Adorable. Have a great evening. Hugs, Chris
