“Seashell Mosaic”

I thought you might like to see a few common shells from Florida. These are all shells I’ve picked up on the beaches on the Atlantic Coast. (except for one)

ShellMosaic-001

I was inspired by my girlfriend,

Della from Del’s Shells.

She sent me the beautiful Sand Dollar in the middle of the mosaic.

I’ve also put a few Spring things in the lanai today.

So now I have ducks and shells on the coffee table to enjoy! (and maybe a chick!)

I’m joining Mary at the dear little red house

for Mosaic Monday! I hope you’ll join us, too!

Have you seen signs of Spring at your house this weekend?

Della is the best and what a sweet gift. I'm so in the mood for the beach and some shells. Did you see my tiny shell themed waterfall I put in my bedroom the other day? I love to play with the shells.

Oh- How cute! I used to love shelling when I lived in FL. I used to go to Sanibel Island early and would sometimes be the only person out there...not anymore! xo Diana

Love your shell collection, I've never seen a spiny oyster before, what a beautiful shell! Love your new Easter display, the ducks and chick look quite happy to be in the lanai with your lovely shells! No Spring here yet, we had 4 inches of snow yesterday!

Diane, I love shells and to be able to pick them up right near where I live would be incredible.
They are so pretty. Nice touch with the ducks, they look like they are swimming in water.

Hi Diane,
I love sea shells. While in Hawaii in Oct. we stayed in a beach house justs steps away from the ocean. It was beautiful, we collected sea coral, not many hole sea shells were washed up on our beach. Your collection is so fun, I love the sand dollars..if only we could spend them...LOL. Also the star fish is one of my favorites. A really pretty post!
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth

What a wonderful collection of shells you have Diane. Little ducky's look right at home. They may, however be missing a bit of water. Friday I spent the entire day in the garden. It was gorgeous. This morning we woke up to 2" of snow. Welcome to UT. It will melt fast and just give our flowers and lawns a good drink. Nothing blooming yet, just lots of things popping up.
Hugs,
Jann

Loved to walk the beach in Corpus Christi and look for shells. You have beautiful Sand Dollar. They were abundant there but usually trampled underfoot. So we treasure the ones we have! Have a wonderful week! Cathy

What a beautiful shell collection. I wish the shores of Lake MI included shells. We have fun collecting rocks, but your shells are just lovely.

The best vacations we ever had was when we took our 2 daughters to Florida when they were in grade school. Our friends took us to the Sanabel Beach outside of Fort Myers and the girls searched for shells. They had the best time ever. I found some too and still have them. They always bring back good memories of a fun time.

Hello name mate! Thank you for this learning opportunity. I don't know such classification and description of shells, considering I came from a country surrounded by beaches. Shame on me LOL
