My first tablescape!

I love visiting my blog buddies and seeing their tables set with beautiful china and lovely linens….decorated for the season or a special holiday.

Table

I’ve always wanted to take part.

But of course, I would need a table

and then I would need some dishes! lol

So I decided to use the library table to put some pretty things out for Spring. (you have to imagine that the wall behind the table is book shelves and that the boxes of books behind the screen are actually ON the shelves! It will happen some day and I will blog about it! heehee!)

DSCN1257

Of course it all started with the dishes I found at the Thrift store for 50 cents each.

DSCN1262

They are marked Homer Laughlin U.S.A. on the bottom. I LOVE buying things made in the good old U.S. of A.!

DSCN1258

I even had a pretty Easter tablecloth that doesn’t really fit but looks pretty.

So I put it all out, kept adding each day and found out it really is nice to have a pretty table set in my home.

DSCN1284

While I was getting it set up, I received a Giveaway win from the artist, R. C. Reese. She sent me this original art to grace my table. Isn’t it lovely and the perfect colors for my vignette!

Do you set a pretty table from time to time? I think it could become habit forming! (shells are a must)

I absolutely love this charming table setting! The plates look great, and the fact that it's made in US makes it even more special. I often go to thrift stores to find items made in US. Painting is beautiful, I am going to visit that blog and all others actually too. See shells are a perfect must! Have a great day, Diane!

So lovely, Diane. I usually set out my lace tablecloth and then a seasonal centerpiece. Until the kids get a bit older, I won't be brave enough to use my grandmother's China!

Beautiful! I LOVE the table cloth and I actually PREFER when they are not the 'exact' size of the table -- adds more interest I think.

Hi Diane! You did a great job on your tablescape. That's one of the prettiest tablecloths I've ever seen, and your collection of bunnies is adorable. Brace yourself friend because once you set your first pretty table, you'll want to set the table over and over. Clear the doll room for the dishes collection that is coming! Hee hee!

Thanks for stopping by to join my party.

Lovely Easter table ! so charming and I love you dishes you got for such a deal. I did a table setting once and joined at a blog hop ...It was a table I set outside on my patio and I had lots of natural stuff and my grams china and I set some of my Tom Clark Gnomes out as decoration. A gnome party you could call it.

That was so much fun playing around with ideas like that for table settings

Maybe I will do it again sometime
Have a blessed Easter my friend !

Your little bunnies and the tray arrived today and I love it. I am going to put some dishes in it on my kitchen counter when Easter is over. So sweet and nicely packaged. Thank you so much for the additional baby chickie! He is going to join my dollies for their Easter tabletop. I am just delighted with my purchase!

Well Diane, you did a wonderful job on your first tablescape! I love that tablecloth! It is just so sweet. And I am a huge fan of Laughlin! I have a lot of dishes made by them. Everything looks so Easter happy! I would love for your to share this tablescape with me on my "Thrifty Tablescape" party this Saturday!

You set a very pretty table. The tablecloth is just fine and looks very cottagey. Pretty and sweet.

I've not gotten totally into the full out tablescaping, but Mona and bj have got me interested in getting out some of the lovely old doileys the women in my family crocheted long ago. Spiffing up some and things like that make a house a home...I think.

Blessed Easter wishes to you.

Oh...I floated over from Mona's Wsprsweetly of Cottages today.
