Signs…Signs…Mosaic Monday is HERE again!

One of the wonderful advantages of traveling is the sights along the way. I would love to make a trip just to take photos of signs….

Signs

but it would take a lot longer to get to where we’re going.

I dug in the archives for some photos of signs. I think I’ve probably taken hundreds though!

And if you have an opinion on Aromatherapy Essential Oils please visit the post HERE to give me some advice!

I’m joining Mary at the dear little red house

for Mosaic Monday. Come party with us!

Love your signs Diane. Definately signs of a good time. No help on the oils. I know people that love them, but I wouldn't know what to reccommend.

great mosaic,, I just had to visit you,, thankyou so much for the kind words,, I was told to use lavendar oil when I had the brain injury, I have used it for 8 years, also bergamot, absolute rose, I put a couple of drops of cedar oil on cotton balls to repel bugs in the cupboards, I use tea tree oil for cleaning, grapefruit oil is really great too, you don't need much and in no time you have a collection, I buy mine in the health food store as well but I think prices might be cheaper online.I hope you find some,

Cool post, a trip taking photos of signs sounds neat. My sister is in Myrtle Beach now, she loves going there. I see Laurie above has great ideas for the oils. I know Lavender is a relaxing scent. Have a wonderful week!

What a great idea! It reminds me of my sister's collection of law office names ... signs would be a fun photo collection. I also enjoyed your NC photo cards!

Hi Diane
Your collection of signs is pretty interesting, I like the butterfly at the top.
Lavender is an essential oil I use a lot (naturally) and I like to freshen up the lavender buds in bowls I have, put a dab on the heat register when the furnace is on and sometimes on a pretty hanky to keep near my pillow.
We have stores at the mall that sell the oils in small vials and they usually have some marked for inhaling.
Good luck with your research on finding what will work for you.

I like your sign/photo collection! I have been know to jump out of the car to take pictures of signs too-- have one that says "this point is halfway between the North Pole and the Equator." I thought that was really neat. Linda

Great signs! I like them, too. I wish that I were as organized as you to save them in a folder collection.

Stay warm now! Goodness, this is crazy weather.

I love to read all the signs along the road too, and often yell 'stop!' so that I can get out and photograph one or two. They're always good for a smile!

Haha! I love the "Go jump in a river" sign! I could've used that one a time or two!
Have a great week.

As you drive along you take for granted the signs you see but some do catch your eye and hold your thoughts for a while. I loved the bee. V

Oh I am that way also. I love taking pictures of unusual signs. When we lived in California our son and I stayed in a competition on who take find the most unique signs. Here in the Nashville area Vanderbilt Hospital did an experiment with essential oils. They put diffusers around and used citrus essential oils in them. Especially ones like pink grapefruit and orange which are known to give you energy. They said that the results were amazing. Workers that had been tired and complaining were happy and so much less stressed out as were the patients. You might want to check out their findings. It was really interesting.

I am the same way, I love road signs. I have made Troy pull over so many times just to take a picture of a sign. Which isn't so bad in a regular truck but, I used to have him do that when we were in a semi truck as well! LOL

I love signs, too. I really love those old Burma Shave signs...and there is a campaign around here that they are copying the Burma Shave signs for a church promotion. Love it@ xo Diana

Great mosaic and great sign collections! I've taken sign pictures ever since I got my first digital and so I was really tickled to find a meme for them-- called SIGNS SIGNS over at Lesley's blog... you might want to check that out.

Here's a link to it (from my blog) http://travelingrainvilles.typepad.com/traveling_home/signs/

Had to come by for my lavender fix. I love peppermint and almond oil for massage therapy. I was a practicing massage therapist a few years back and the almond oil seemed to be the favorite. I still do a little on neck and shoulders for family and friends.

Signs are always fun. My late husband, Pat, loved taking pictures of them like you do. Me? Clouds are my thing.
You really have taken some neat pic's of them!

I know what you mean. Our travels take us past many delightful signs. Hard to catch at 65 mph though (that's motorhome speed, much higher if in a regular vehicle). :)

Great project...creating the mosaic. Travel creates so many memories. Isn't it awesome how many different signs there are?

I love finding signs from simpler times that are found on the back roads of America. If the signs are still there then the area usually has a lot of charm.
