Traveling back to familiar territory…

…means visiting all of your favorite places!

DSCN1463

We drove over to 12 Bones to pick up the BEST BBQ EVER! Slow smoked baby back ribs, beef brisket and smoked chickens…enough to freeze some to take back to Florida!

Next stop…Bruegger’s Bagels! We’ll get a bag full of bagels there. Yes…enough to take some back to FL! heehee!

I still have some thrift stores to browse and a few shops to check out while we’re here and I want to go to the park to walk. It’s more like ‘sweatshirt’ weather here but it’s nice. We saw frost on the car yesterday when we got up. What a shock! heehee!

But the flowers are lovely, everywhere you look!

Enjoy your week!

Will someone tell me why I packed shorts for this trip? heehee! Is it sweatshirt weather at your house today?

Not sweat shirt weather here, PARKA weather, cold cold but sunny, its very cold here, no flowers here yet thankgoodness or they would all be burnt by the frost. What a wonderful trip you're having, thats sounds like a yummy place for sure.

Wow, those bagels look pretty spectacular to me. I haven't had a good bagel in a long time. There's a real science to making a great bagel, making it slightly chewy on the inside. :-)

I was thinking about your BBQ place the other day! I thought you would pay them a visit ;)

It was a little chilly this morning, but didn't last long. It's 81 right now!

Enjoy the sweatshirt weather...it can't last much longer!
Hugs!

Been great here in the Carolinas weather wise. If only my allergies were not so bad it would be perfect!

YUM! Your BBQ looks fabulous. It's definitely sweatshirt (and mitten weather) here. The wind is howling outside, but the sun is out! Tomorrow is suppose to feel like the 30s all day with the wind chills. Brrrrr.

Those flowers are gorgeous! There's not too much bbq to choose from here in NH and it's definitely sweatshirt weather with a couple added layers! Glad you are having a good trip!

Sweater and jacket weather here. There was a dab of sunshine, then a bit of rain, now the sun is out but it is windy. All the early flowers are still in bloom, but we have had a couple of frosts. It is a wonder the flowers are still around. Have a good week, it sounds like you are already having fun.

It sounds like you're having a wonderful time.
It's sweatshirt weather here but no pretty blooms on the azaleas. Some daffodils are blooming.

Susan

I wish. It is winter coat, mittens, and hat weather here. Miserable for April.

Oh those flowers! I'm hoping for some one day...

Hi Diane,
Looks like you are having a great time this spring! Your azalea photos are truly beautiful. Love that vibrant color. They have a yearly Azalea Festival in Houston, Texas, each year put on by the River Oaks Garden Club. I used to love to attend this festival each year when I lived there. Hope you had a wonderful Easter! Love ya, Kim xoxo

You are close to us right now and we have been having a cold snap after having days of almost 90 degrees! The flowers are gorgeous. We love to head up to the Smokies to see all of the beautiful Azalea's in the Spring.

Hi Diane,

Love those flowers there in NC!!! Beautiful!!!!
Well, it's sweatshirt weather now and even winter jackets as we're to get snow tonight and snow showers tomorrow!!!! But then it's warming up!!!! Figured this was going to happen, with March being so mild and warm!!! Now when we want mild and warm, we'll get cold, yukky weather!!!!
Have a good week,
Lois
