Longing for a trip to the mountains?

You might want to wait!

DSCN1940

Look more closely!

DSCN1939

We’ve had 2 storms these past few days that have included golf ball size HAIL!

DSCN1942

The storms don’t last long but they are powerful!

DSCN1930

This one came yesterday....

DSCN1941

Hubby wasn’t home so our vehicle wasn’t in the parking lot but all of the cars here had dings after the hail pounded the landscape with large chunks of ice! This is our neighbor’s truck with an accumulation of ice in the bed!

DSCN1938

Hopefully that is the last of it. We’ve been getting fresh strawberries from the local farm and I hope they weren’t damaged!

DSCN1935

It looks extra green this morning!

How are you this beautiful morning?

Enjoy your day!

Hello, Miss Lavender Dreams,

I can honestly say we didn't get any hail here - giggle, just lots of hot weather, yuck.

I am fine, my bearcedure is all over and I am resting, getting spoiled rotten more (if that is possible) and LuLu ate the bunch of daisies that Dad bought for me. So she is spending time in the naughty teddy bear chair in the corner. GOOD!

Hugs,
Prudence

Oh my. That's some large hail. We have some scary storms headed over the big lake today. I'm tired of rain.

Gosh, I've never seen such hail and hope we never do!
But, we need some rain on our gardens!
Loved your photos.

Oh- I just do NOT like hail. It does so much damage in such a short time. We have huge storms here today, too. UGH- xo Diana

Seems like the hail is larger and the storms are bigger any more.
I know that the plants don't like to be pounded on either by it.
Hope your day is going well. Good photos.

Oh, my ... thanks for the warning. I'll remain in the piedmont until the hail is gone. We could use some rain over here and the temps are rising. Feels like summer.
Glad your car wasn't damaged.

We had this storm too, but with the smaller hail. Stay safe!

I know what you mean we have had the same thing happening here in Tennessee. Our truck got dinged up pretty bad but we were blessed that the car was in the garage. We have been enjoying fresh strawberries also. They just always let me know that Spring has arrived.

Spring storms like that can be so dangerous! Glad all is well...hope it is the same with the strawberries!

Wow! Thankfully that kind of damage to cars and homes is usually covered by insurance. Five years ago we got a whole new roof and gutters after a hail storm and all we paid was a small deductible! We're FINALLY seeing some peeks of sun after days and days of rain and cold. It's in the upper 70's and mid 80's next few days but still more rain. Ugg.

Glad you came out unscathed. We need rain badly here.

Oh my goodness, Diane!! What a hail storm you had.

Good HONKUS at the HAIL!!!
IN addition to the danger to humans and the damage to property...I am having visions of family cats and dogs being knocked unconscious.

All the local critters OK?

Grace

Hi Diane,
We've had bad storms here with tornado watches and warnings, but no hail. Thankfully today was very nice and sunny.
Love the title of your post...we will be heading to the mountains soon and I can't wait!

Those storms can be crazy here one minute and gone the next with havoc right behind!!

We heard about your hail on the weather channel. Quite the storms yesterday! We have family in Minnesota and South Dakota so were watching their area too. Our weather is so tame compared to the rest of the country! :) Glad your car wasn't damaged, but feel so bad for those that were.

Oh goodness! What big hail! I can see how this would do a whole lot of dammage!
Thank goodness you are fine!

When I saw the hail I thought about your car. So glad you are safe, and your hubby had the car somewhere safe from the storm. Take care up there!

Our area had some similar hail storms, but for whatever reason, our little grove was spared. Many in Louisville have major damage. You took some splendid images of the result of what you experienced. Take care~

Little Susie Home Maker said...

Oh, that makes my heart sink. The hail can just tear everything we love apart. I hope your yard is not too damaged. At least your car didn't get damaged.I keep aome blanket and rugs on hand this time of year if I can quick cover a few things!
Blessings,
Susie

Oh my word! Hopefully, you didn't sustain any damage to your roof! Spring storms can be troublesome, that's for sure!

I didn't enter the giveaway because I already have WAY too much jewelry already, and never enough occasions to wear it all! But the blings are colorful and cute!

Nezzy (Cow Patty Surprise) said...

Oh glory girl!!! I'm glad your safe and sound.

We get the hail since we're right in the path of 'tornado alley'. I was surprised your plants didn't have holes in 'em. I've had mine beat into the ground before. Booger!!!

God bless ya and have a magnificent day dear heart!
