Does a pretty glass make everything taste better?

I think it DOES!

Shanti just sent me a photo of my FAVORITE place in the WORLD...New Smyrna Beach (Canaveral National Seashore) so I’ll sneak her photo in here! She was there yesterday! LUCKY!

We had a really fun trip to Florida over the weekend! We saw all kinds of critters and pretty flowers...even a wild turkey along the road. And yesterday I felt great but today I’m a little under the weather again. Although the weather here is gorgeous! I’m loving the Florida sunshine...soaking it in!

So I’m sipping on some refreshing drinks today. My friend, Sandie from Chatty Crone says I should be drinking something hot and I probably will later but right now I’m having some Diet 7 Up with fresh lime squeezed into it! Tastes really good to me this ‘warm’ afternoon!

I love drinking out of something pretty (this is a vintage glass from the Thrift store)...

and sitting in the lanai with my net book!

What are you doing today?

What a beautiful glass! And I so agree with you - pretty dishes make everything taste better. My mom always set a very pretty table, even for just a snack. Even a tuna sandwich and chips isn't the same when eaten from a paper plate. :-)

Well first of all - are those tulips - so pretty. And Judy is right a plate is always better.

And it was hot water with lemon - it is supposed to fix a cold - lol! You are sweet, sandie

This post reminds me of my Dad. He had a favorite glass and whenever I asked him why he didn't like drinking soda from any other glass he would say "Because my glass makes the soda taste better"! Thanks for the memories...made me smile today.

Such a pretty glass! The sunny photo is quite the contrast to our chilly weather today. I'm reviewing history notes for my school group tour at the museum on Thursday.

Well whatever got ahold of you doesn't want to let you go now does it?! At first, I thought you were advertising that cider that Penny and Pat discussed yesterday. ;>

Lovely glass and I'm sure that it would make any snack time a thing to remember. Enjoy those warm temps.

We planted Blanket flowers and daises that were on clearance in our new flower bed. We also chase the puppy around a whole lot but we love him dearly. The glass is fun:}

YES -- pretty glasses always make things taste better and the day seem more special! I always use my vintage teacups when I'm sipping tea or coffee in my gazebo -- just makes it that much more enjoyable!

I love Florida beaches--they are so clean and wide.

Your drink looks cool and refreshing. I hope you feel better soon, Diane...is it humid there? The humidity always tires me out. Rest and enjoy your book!

Ooh, that cold drink sounds divine just about now. I think I went overboard on the chips and salsa tonight. :) My husband and I go to dinner every Friday night and we always have that along with a couple of margaritas, which also have salt so you can imagine how thirsty I am.
Love your creative pictures as usual, Diane, very inviting.
MUAH!
