Good Morning...the SUN is out!

We had a soaking rain from Tropical Depression, Debby but no flooding or damage in our community. We had about 5 inches of rain on Sunday but only sprinkles of rain the past couple of days. Our hearts go out to those that are dealing with flooding. And also to those in the West battling fires. I’m keeping them all in my prayers.

Thanks for those that have written with your care and concern. I sure appreciate it.

Here’s a screen capture of the weather map showing the path of the storm.

Can you find where I live?

The SUN is shining and all is well!

(a quick photo taken from my back door, no need to color boost...the grass is GREEN and the sky is blue)

What does your morning look like?

We're windy and overcast here still. Nothing damaging other than the grass is a bit high and waiting for my hubby this weekend! We've been promised some very hot weather starting tomorrow. Oh well, we are in Florida aren't we?!!
Glad to hear you guys fared well

Glad you weathered the storm OK! The sky is blue here and the grass is a mixture of brown and faint green. The sprinkler system for our units are not keeping up with the evaporation, so the grass is suffering. I'll be glad to get away from the heat temporarily!

My morning is lookin' the same right about now. We're in for another scorcher though...around 110. We've had teaser clouds/storms, but no rain yet. However, you wouldn't be able to convince my body of that.

Hugs,
Meri

I'm so glad you had no damage,it looked pretty scary on our weather channel, thats alot of rain in such a short time, it doesn't give it a chance to soak in and then it floods, scary stuff.
We have sunny skies and its about 70 here today,

Glad to hear the storm has passed and everything with you is OK. We would take a tiny bit of that rain - our yard is brown - ugly! My husband and I are not ones to water the yard so it looks really bad. I'm sure some of our neighbors are shaking their heads at us. Enjoy your sunny day. ~Ann

Oh ours is gray and gloomy, but that's okay because we're not dealing with wildfires nor hurricanes and tornadoes. Such sad stories and so I am joining you in prayer for all those affected. Glad that things are looking up in your corner.

Green grass and blue sky are beautiful to see. Our morning so far has been sunny, and telling us it will be scorching today.

It is pleasant here. But, ya fires are taking out the center of our state (Utah) and my daughter had to evacuate over night friday night. They are fine now. Utah is a tinderbox now.

Glad the storm didn't do damage to your area. The photo looks a lot like it could have been taken here this morning. The sun decided to pay us a very welcome visit. I can hear the birds singing it's praise. Have a great day.

Oh yes, it's so good to see the sun after all those days of rain and clouds. We too had little damage, but reaped the benefits of a lot more greenery. Looking on your map I found out something I didn't know after 35 years of living in FL. There is a Beverly Hills! We should have headed there and gone shopping during the storm! Ann

We are in the midst of a drought here in the Midwest -- no rain in almost a month. Tomorrow we're supposed to hit 101 degrees. Now I personally LOVE this weather but my prayers are for rain for the farmers who are really suffering. Your green grass is beautiful - so glad you weren't affected by the flooding!

It's so good to see the sun out again!
Certainly am thinking of those less fortunate at this time.

Even after living here my whole life, I'm still amazed by how these storms affect such a wide area. We felt the little trouble maker all the way down here in South Florida. It was incredibly windy yesterday. I love the wind, but I'm done with the rain. Glad you were safe.

Hugs.

We had rain Sat. evening yesterday, about 12 inches, really bad flooding all around us, so glad Debby is gone!! Finally some sun today, just heard the heat index is going to be 110 where we are at. Stay cool!
