Life in Florida....

or maybe ‘wildlife’!

PMDSCN2723

We see so many interesting birds and critters in our neighborhood.

PMDSCN2695

We have baby cardinals in the feeders (and on the roof, too)!

PMDSCN2739

Doesn’t this look like a ‘cool’ place to build your nest?

Look up close!

We had our computer class yesterday and it was on ‘how to use Skype’. We had a good turn out and I learned a lot, too. I had fun at the end of class calling everyone! Here’s what I wore today.

Here in Florida we have ‘dress’ shorts! lol These are the shorts I bought when Della and I went shopping at Kohl’s awhile back!

One more siting around town!

WHAT IN THE WORLD? heehee!

Darling outfit. Love the wildlife pictures too. Skype was our best friend when we were in China completing Josie's adoption. We were able to talk to the "grandparents" everyday. How fun that your husband is teaching classes.

These are great pictures! I love the egret strolling by and the baby robin on the roof - they look so unaffected by everything. Have fun!!!

Love the critter pictures...but the best one is that giant tree frog(even though its not real)
lol..
Considering the bright green shade of that green car...and the bright green shade of that tree frog
...its sorta like that green tree frog found its big green MOMMA.

I wonder if they sold the tree frogs at the dealership that the green car came from???

In Him,
Grace

what great photos! It always amazes me how the fauna is so different from ours, the trees look alien to me.
you look lovely in dress shorts,

Diane, you always look so cute! Is that a lighthouse painted on the wall behind you?

I love the photos, especially the very first one. The little bird looks kinda lost and sweet.

Love the bird in front of your garage, what a wonderful world you live in.

And I love those shorts, they look perfect for running around. It's so hard to find shorts that are long enough anywhere lately...all of them have about a 1 inch inseam, and I am not 16 anymore.

Cute post! Good to see you again. Two days no post? =D

You are always so cute. I wish that I could wear things like that. Not going to happen in this lifetime...the knees must stay covered. LOL!

That fat little bird on the roof looks like you set him there for a cute decoration. You are lucky to have so many of God's beautiful creatures there in Florida. I think I would question Him about the reason for creating lizards though. Heehee. Those things scare me almost as much as a snake. We have some blue ones that run across the porch sometimes and I freak out. You look adorable with the shorter hairstyle. Love the pretty blue color of your top. You always look so stylish! Hope you have a fun weekend but I don't think I need to say that because you always have a smile and seem to be having fun. It's nice to have a friend with such a positive attitude, Friend. ---------- Shannon

What a fun post. Dressy shorts? are you serious?

Lauren @ My Wonderfully Made said...

OH that chubby baby cardinal is adorable! Not too sure about the lizards/geckos though! And I am quite familiar with dressy shorts -- we have them here in Chicago -- LOL. I consider dressy shorts the longer style and made of a nice, crisp fabric like yours.

Fun in Florida...where there is a lot of neat things to snap! I think I need me some dressy shorts...even my capris aren't quite cool enough in this heat we've been having!
They look great...nice outfit. Enjoy your weekend!

That's what I love about Florida. My neighbor moved here 10 years ago and fly's home to Missouri every two months. She said everything is so expensive in MO and everyone dresses so hot there. Ha! I think she has become acclimated to Florida and is reaping the benefits of this lovely state!

I spend about 30% of my time in China. It would b e very difficult for me to keep in touch with my husband and with the office without Skype, especially since China cell phones work only within the country. Skype has made my life so much easier.
The other thing I would be most unhappy if I had to lose it ia my VPN connection. Without it, i cannot access any of the blogs I follow - like yours - or facebook or upload photos to webshots for my friends and family to see and many other sites. On the last trip here, I had our Caandian IT guy install it on our Finance manager's computer, technically a no/no from China's POV. She said that I had "opened up a whole new world" for her!

When I saw the tree frog, I laughed out loud. it reminded me of the truly Nolan Pest Control company vehicles that used to have little mouse's ears and mouse's tails on them when I lived in Sarasota. They were always so much fun to watch on the road.

I'm always looking at our palm trees to see if I can find bird nests -- I know they have to be making them in there as there aren't many safe places for them to do so, but I've yet to see one. In fact, in the 17 years I've been here, I've only seen one birds nest in a bushy tree and it was kinda down low so don't know how the babies survived. I'm keeping my eyes peeled. :) Have a great week. Tammy
