Nighthawks and Giveaway

Today is the last day to enter the Eco Natural Soap giveaway. Please go to the original post HERE to enter!

We have nighthawks that swoop down at sunset to eat those pesky mosquitoes and other bugs.

But one afternoon this week they were hungry a little earlier than usual. We saw about a half dozen at around 4 pm. (And YES...the moon was out, too!) So out I went with the camera to try to get some photos of these birds in motion.

I took the photos to Picmonkey to crop and sharpen a bit. (here are the best photos I could get, Della!)

Nighthawks are a large bird and very graceful and pretty....well as long as they don’t swoop down on me when I am walking in the evenings.

I’ll announce the winner of the giveaway tomorrow!

Do you have any fun plans for the weekend?

Nice photos of the nighthawks. You did a great job!

I love birds, yet struggle with getting good pictures of them too. I really like the effect you got with picmonkey.

No weekend plans here except for maybe battling the crowds at Micheal's tomorrow. Saturday is the worst day to go here since they do those free demos for kids, so that's where all the parents and kids go on Saturdays. The store is terribly crowded, and I don't do crowds well. What one endures for crafting and blogging though. *hee hee*

Hope you have some fun things planned this weekend, my friend!

Diane - I am not sure if I entered the give away. I just needed to make a comment, right? or did I miss something? Oh and btw, you pedicure looks great in your "slippers". I call them slippers, which, are really cute, too. Just Yard Sales on the agenda. Have a good one!!!

Nice shots, I would worry if I had a little doggie out and about, or a kitty cat that goes outside. xo

I had a swooper very close to me last night while walking the dog...a bat! Still, it was eating a lot of mosquitoes I hope.

Slippers they slippers house shoes, just the most comfy things you could wear I know , I know wrong post but I am getting them all in here, we have had several hawks lately.

And the bugs are horrible this year already!! I did get to sign up. See I need to come up for air from my work more often, I have had little time to comment or visit alot

I don't think I've seen any of them, but from now on I will keep a sharp eye peeled for them. If I do see any, and I will be looking for them now! I'll let you know ;) Thanks for sharing! Great pics Diane :D

I didn't even know you had this giveaway. When did I miss that? ;)
Best wishes to all...and watch out for those hawks. ;)

Weekend plans include movie and dinner with my best friend from high school tonight. We reunited about a month ago through fb and have gone shopping and to lunch like the same two giddy girls we always were. ;) Very grateful.

Have a great weekend, my friend.

Hugs.
