Turn around...TURN AROUND!!!

What are those pink birds?

PMDSCN3329

We saw these Roseate Spoonbills when we drove to Cedar Key this week!

PMDSCN3326

I got so excited seeing this beautiful bird.

EEEE! Don’t turn around HERE! lol

A little closer please...

And if you think Florida is all about sandy beaches and high rise condos...

PMDSCN3320

here are photos of a canal on the Gulf Coast.

I didn’t alter or even crop this photo. I was in the car, with my window rolled down...taking these photos off a bridge!)

I think it is so picturesque and like going back in time!

Hello Diane

The spoonbills are precious and my heart always skips a beat when I see one, just like now.

Your pictures depict a Florida which many fail to discover. Like you, I like to travel the road less travelled and always the most scenic route.

thank you for this wonderful post

Gorgeous photos!!!
Very cool that you were able to see so many spoonbills on the bridge. My poor hubby gets subjected to the "turn around" cry quite often.

Hugs and have a happy day!!!

Your pink bird find is wonderful. The only pink birds around here are plastic ones, parked on the grass. (See my early post in April, hahahha)

Diane, I love the photo of the homes on the gulf canal. Makes me want to stop by and visit them and sit on their decks!

I picked up some fruit smoothie this morning at the grocery store - different brand up here in OH. Mixed a little with diet Sierra Mist - VERY GOOD. Thanks for your tip on that one a few posts ago. ~Ann

Love the photo's. Very nice!

As long as I've lived in FL, I've never been to Cedar Key. There is a writer who lives there, and I'm trying desperately to remember her name! If I think of I'll let you know. :)

You and I like to travel the same way, pack as much punch into the day as possible. Your Cedar Key trip is similar to one I'm on right now. I made photos today that look a lot like this! Great shots so I know it was a great time.
