A SUPER fun SALE!

I was on my way to the grocery story one day and made a quick stop at the thrift store. OHHHH...but I parked at the Quilt Shop! (they are close to each other) There was a SIGN that said, “Quilters Rummage Sale”! OH BOY! There were tables set up and quilters with their ‘destash’ goodies.

I’ll show  you my BEST BUY first!

DSCN4356

I’m too excited to save it!

DSCN4348

I got this beautiful, hand quilted lap quilt from the sweetest little lady. She acted like she was apologizing because it was so small and lightweight. But I knew it was PERFECT! (and it was $10)

DSCN4368

I scooped up a big bag of thread ($5),

DSCN4362

bought some cute fabric to make a doll quilt ($3)

DSCN4363

(the small print at the top of the photo is the piece of fabric for the backing)

DSCN4366

and got this box to put sewing supplies in. ($2.50)

DSCN4367

I even bought a ziplock bag with ‘pieces’ for 50 cents!

That’s MY kind of SALE!

I’m joining Time Travel Thursday ,

Vintage Thingie Thursday

and Thrifty Things Friday!

I’m joining Katherine’s Corner for Favorite Things and

Jann for Share Your Cup too!

Do you get excited over a sale and thank everyone when you walk out the door...with a BIG smile? I DO!!!

The small pieces from the ziplock bag are going to give your doll quilts a good start.

That sewing box just made me smile! Now, that handmade quilt for only $10?!? That's daylight robbery! I call that, too, a great shopping day.

Beautiful finds there! I think the last photo might be the start of the Double Wedding Ring design, my mother in law introduced me to quilting years ago and she made a beautiful quilt with that design. Quilts take a while to make, but the joy lasts forever!

Also a big Hello to you from a new follower/blogger! I love lavender and purple, so I was drawn in by the name of your blog, and have enjoyed visiting!
Warm hugs to you!
Tammy
