Happy New Year!

I am always so excited to start a new year! I am one of those people that even loves Mondays! It feels like a fresh start…with no mistakes…yet! (a quote from Anne of Green Gables)

I love cards and notes….and letters, of course. And it made me feel extra special to receive so many this year.

We have wide windowsills so it’s a perfect place to display and enjoy them.

You’ll just have to ignore the gas grill, bird feeders and empty shelves on the bakers rack in the courtyard. Just look at the cards! heehee!

How do you display your cards?

I’m joining Mary for Mosaic Monday

and Diane for Beautiful Sunday

and Sunny Simple Sunday !

Happy New Year to all of my best blogging buddies!

Here’s to another year of fun and friendship!

How nice to have a sill like that! I hang my cards on a louvered door which is a little funny because its the only one in the house hung "inside out" otherwise the cards would not hang properly. I guess someone's mistake did me a favor. And isn't it a shame more people don't send cards like years ago??

I giggled when I saw your cards so neat and tidy looking. My cards are pretty much all over. The refrigerator, kitchen window sill, kitchen counter, hutch.....yikes :)

I wish I had a large window with a deep sill so I could display my cards like you have but since I don't I have them in a pretty basket guarded by some of my snowmen. Happy new year sweet lady. Hugs

Happy New Year to you, too, Diane. I keep my cards in a basket set on a side table so that we can pick them up and sit and read them when we have time. Monday is my favorite day of the week- xo Diana

Happy New Year. I love to send and receive Christmas cards. I put mine on a tray on the bar. My card this year was an image of Joe, the puppy, and me.

LOL - the grill and bird feeder etc. were the FIRST things I noticed because I SO miss them --haha! THEN I moved on to your lovely, deep window ledges and your cards. Great way to display them!

That's a good way to display your cards...mine are draped over my crochet garland and taped onto my fridge in the form of a Christmas tree. I, too, enjoy cards. I used to say that I didn't, but I was just lying. ;>

Hey Diane...I love Mondays, too! But that wasn't the case during some of the years I worked full-time at jobs I did not like! I'm grateful I'm able to stay home and write!

That's a wonderful way to display your cards. Mine are in a pile on my hall table - I leaf through them and pick out different ones to place on top. I do enjoy receiving, and sending cards, but do less than I used to.

Happy New Year!

I like the way your cards are displayed Diane. Mine are piled in a pretty basket as I don't have room to lay them out anywhere. Not that I have a lot. :-)
Happy New Year.

Hi namemate! Thank you for linking up on the last Beautiful Sunday of 2012. I'm so thankful because you never left my humble, quiet and often neglected series haha

I love the idea of displaying all those Christmas cards. Despite the convenience of email and text messages, nothing still beats the happiness of receiving Xmas cards.

Enjoy New Year's Ever and wishing you a happy 2013!

HA! I say that Anne of Green Gables quote all the time, and in fact my sister just told me she got the DVD from the library this week to watch it.

You sure have the biggest window sill ever. I hang cards from a ribbon that I use clothespins ( the mini ones) to attach them with.

Happy new year to you too!

Nice way to display your cards. I leave mine in a decorative container and just hang a few. My kids hang a clothesline around their door and pin cards up; it looks nice. Wishing you a happy new year!

You window sills look a little wider than mine, but I think I can still do this next year. This year for lack of a better place to hang them, I taped them to the wall :)

Happy New Year and what a nice view you all have with those wide windows. The cards displayed this way looks really nice, but would never word here...no window sills, and we have cats;') I have a basket that I got when my momma passed away in 1993 and I keep them in that basket, placing the newer ones to the front every day~

Love how you displayed your cards, Diane. I've been receiving less and less throughout the years, but I will never stop mailing out Christmas cards regardless of technology. I think it's such a special tradition.
I typically keep mine on our foyer table or on our mantel which my husband built me years ago at our old home. We didn't bring it along with us to our new home because it weighed a ton since he used beautiful stones for it, but I will miss it. Guess I'll have to have him make me a new one. ;)
