Winter Flowers

We’ve had such a mild winter here in Florida. We always have certain flowers blooming year round but this year, Spring seems to be coming even earlier and blooms are popping out everywhere. The redbuds and blooming shrubs are beautiful right now. The maples are so red, they appear to have flowers on them, too.

Here are a few flowers blooming in my neighborhood. Mostly we have roses, camellias and azaleas blooming on our street. I even caught a honey bee on one bloom.

Amazing! Azaleas in January!! I would like at least 50% less winter than I get but that's not going to happen! I'd love to be in Florida enjoying nice temperatures like that. I won't see any plants flowering in my area until April/May!

Beautiful blossoms my friend. Yeah, the flowers around here are gorgeous too and I have such allergies from the pollem, lol..Actually, in the Andean part of the country is beautiful, is like spring, sometimes a colder spring and when it gets the coldest by August, Sept., it's like a cold fall...but stil great.. I love this weather. By sea level it's a beautiful warm summer weather, but it can get horribly humid at 100!! Great for the beach. No snow, only in the high Andean mountains, but I can't reach that, hehehehe Have a sweet Sunday.

I loved that when we lived in Southern California--flowers blooming all the time. I do have some winter heather that's in bloom and the daffodils are definitely pushing up and should be open by the end of February, but nothing like you have. I would be in heaven creating flowers with your landscape!!

That was not nice to do! *BIG SMILE* It's been extremely cold and gray here with some ice lately and a dusting of snow a week or so ago.

I know how good your weather is because I heard all about it last week. Dad and my brother took a vacation in Florida. I believe they were in your town playing golf one day. Sure wish I could have come so I could have met you, but you know I have four dogs. All of us rarely take trips together since we don't like to leave them with strangers. Maybe someday!

I'm longing to see some spring color like you have, so I'll have to be content for enjoying your pictures for now.

It has been in the 70's and 80's here this past week, and I am wishing it would get cold again. We have been so hot and dry the past two summers that if it is this hot now, I am afraid we will just dry up and turn to dust.

Lovely pictures of all your early bloomers!

Your mosaic is beautiful, I love your flowers.

Our winter in Massachusetts has been pretty mild with the exception of a few super cold days. We are expecting snow today, but the easy kind. No blizzards yet this winter.

It must be lovely to see flowers in bloom this time of year.
