Bunnies, Chicks and Mermaids?

I found a ‘new’ store this week, Hearth & Home! They have been there for 3 years but I had never stopped by to shop. And it was full of surprises. The Spring displays drew me into the store but what will bring me back again…and again… are the seashells and ocean related items.

Oh, they had some beautiful things I would love to have!

02Feb

This would be on the TOP of my list!

MermaidTooDSCN7087

It’s a bronze sculpture of a mermaid and a dolphin.

The little turtle is part of the sculpture, too!

The ladies were all so nice and I enjoyed taking photos of the store.

So what did I buy?

Just a couple of pretty things…

SoapDSCN7104

a ‘Beach Baby’ bar of soap and one seashell.

I can’t WAIT to go back!

Have you ever walked into a store and it was totally different than you expected? It’s fun to find a new favorite store!

I’m joining Beautiful Sunday,

That bronze is Beautiful Diane

I never seem to go shopping but to the grocery store, I am so ready for some warm weather, I believe I will take a day off and go scout out the little surrounding towns and shops.

I fear I will enjoy it so much I won't want to return home :)

HUGS have a great day

I haven't found any new shops to explore and am bored with all of the old ones. It would be great to find a shop like this one in my area. I'd have to buy the mermaid, she would be too hard to resist.

That looks like a fun store and I wish I lived nearby so we could go shopping together. Seems most of the stores with pretty home decor and gifts have closed in the last few years near my town. We basically only have HomeGoods and a few smaller gift shops for these types of goodies. I keep hoping the economy will get better so someone will feel a home decor store is a good one for the area. Have a great week Diane!

We have so many stores like that here in Myrtle Beach which is like 14 miles from me so I try very hard not to go down there although sometimes I don't try hard enough.. LOL.. I love the soap and seashell.. The box the soap came in is so pretty!

Good morning, Diane,
What a wonderful post. It's plain to see that you are a beach girl. I love all the shells, mermaids and beachy touches. I grew up on the Pacific Ocean and I have so many happy memories of strolling along the water's edge, too.
Thank you for your visit and thoughtful comments.
Have a great day, my sweet friend,
Blessings,
Carolynn xoxo
