The FIRST person with the right answer…..

WINS! I’ll send a Yankee Dime or a Postcard from Florida to the first person that can spot the ‘imposter’ Pioneer! There is someone ‘posing’ as a Pioneer and I am VERY sure she would never have survived in the ‘olden days’.

RainbowBest-001

If you spot her first and report her to the Blog Police here at Lavender Dreams, I’ll send you a postcard.

Don’t let her big smile deceive you! She is NOT doing a good job at trimming the board…or whatever she was supposed to be doing in that contraption! We can only hope this was not an essential part of the boat he was building by hand! haha

You're making me homesick!! Since you're in the "neck of the woods"- (we had a cabin on the St.Johns river in Astor from 1964-2005), take those green kayaks for a paddle at the State Park Juniper Springs. My parents - class of 1949 use to swim in the "swimming hole" there. The lanch for the canoes or kayaks- take your own- is on the other side of the swimming pool. It's as wide as you standing in the middle of the springs and you can touch both side of the banks. It's an easy 4 hour paddle through true "old Florida". The spring run gets larger and larger and you'll come to a bridge where the state park with pick you and your boats up and bring you back- for a fee! go mid week so there isn't much, if any other paddlers!! You'll love it!!

You sure look like you're having fun and probably the most comfortable out of all of them. I wouldn't have survived with all the heavy clothing:-)

Looks like you had a lot of fun, and learned some very important survival skills. :-)

I thought you were on a see-saw! Can you imagine how it was for those pioneers with the heat, humidity and mosquitoes? If they could have, they would have been dressed like you! Ann
