April Note Card Party–Florida Photos

I wasn’t sure what to post today. It seems that when I read my favorite blogs, others say it so much better than I could. I was very glad to see Vee had the Note Card Party up and running. I will quote her now…

“Since this post was created, the tragic events in Boston have taken place. It is always a shock to come face to face with evil in one's own corner. Though the Note Card Party continues, I know that thoughts and prayers are with those who are suffering whether in grief over lives lost or with grief over the challenging task of recovery. When I saw this picture on MSN of a woman praying, I thought that her anguish says it all and that her example is fitting. Such events take us to our knees.” Vee at A Haven for Vee

These are some Florida scenes that I thought you would enjoy today.

Beautiful photos, Diane. Sometimes it's hard to find beauty amidst the violence and chaos, but God is the author of beauty and peace.

Your note cards actually work very well for this day. There is a reflective quality to them and each picture reminds us that the world is beautiful. And so are most of the people in it. We just simply can't let the few evil ones overwhelm us (because that's what they want).

And once again ( continue to pray and try to fathom this latest horrible tragedy )

We were discussing this at my office today. MY theory for the moment is that it is not foreign terrorism but a deranged USA citizen, while others had their own theories but bottom line we decided that the word "EVIL" and just that, should come back into our vocabulary.

Vee said...

Oh, Diane, the "let your heart soar" photo grabbed me. I really appreciate the extra steps you took to make these notecards extra special. Go ahead! Have them printed up. You'll be delighted with them.

Seeing NSB again made me tear up - miss that beach and The Breakers cheeseburgers.

I think your friend summed it all up quite eloquently. Although there are never adequate words. Ann

The scenes that you used are so pretty. Not being a 'water girl', I can appreciate their beauty, tho.
After such a sad week, your cards give a feeling of peace.
