The Beauty of Rural America

We drive through Northern Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and into Western North Carolina when we travel between our two homes.

We listen to music and enjoy the sights along the way.

I fill my hubby in on blog news, too! After all, he’s trapped in the car…where can he go! And he likes to know what all of my blog buddies have been up to…what’s ‘new’ in blogland.

(Peach trees loaded with peaches!)

It’s fun to get to our destination and look at the photos I’ve taken.

You just never know what you’ve captured until you view them on the computer.

And I always travel in style!

Hubby cut the roses before we left and I put them in the door of the car.

I’m joining Beautiful Sunday,

Seasonal Sundays,

Sundays in my City,

Mosaic Monday,

and Amaze me Monday!

Do you like to take the road less traveled?

What a sweet idea to put a rose in the door "vase." Yes, I prefer the road less traveled by a mile. Say! I didn't mix my metaphors this time. =D

You always end up getting such great, random shots! Love the pink "bug". Now roses in the door of the car . . . that IS the way to travel! Been awfully busy with college graduation, getting girls off to Alaska for the summer, getting my garden in . . . finally hoping to get all caught up on blogs!

I can't think of many things I like as much as a fresh, juicy peach!
Lovely, fun pics.

Wonderful views! I wouldn't mind having a long drive if the view involves those greeneries!

Enjoy your vacation! Thanks for forever linking up :)

Awww...that rose was so sweet. He must LOVE you! I laughed out loud when you said he was trapped in the car and you were filling him in on the blogs. I called my hubby in here (and he grudgingly came) to read that to him....and let him know that he isn't the ONLY one being tortured by all the blog news from his wife. :) We do love our blog life, don't we?

I love rural America and small towns! The back roads are fun to explore, but when we travel we usually take the quickest way which is interstates. Don't care for them because of the traffic and the scenery is sometimes less than desirable.
Have fun and stay safe on your travels! Love the rose!

The drive is part of the fun to, and from Florida I have to agree although much further for us. We stick to the main highways as we're on a mission. :-)
Having a couple of roses beside you for the trip home was a special touch from your DH. Glad you weren't driving and taking the photos too Diane.

Oh yes, now you are up in our part of the world! You came to nice and cool weather, for as long as it lasts. We also like the back roads, and it sounds like our travel is much like yours. I love to snap pics out the car window and yes, you never know for sure, but sometimes the pic turns out quite well, as yours have here!
