Always looking UP!

We see so much beauty in the skies here in Florida. And we have big windows in all of our rooms with a light tinting on them. It really helps to keep the glare out of the house and is a common thing to do here. So when we look out and up….it’s not so terribly bright!

Imagine my surprise to see this amazing cloud formation this week.

It looks a little like a fish, doesn’t it?

And it appears to be filling the hole in the other clouds perfectly.

Do you remember laying on the grass when you were little, looking at the clouds to figure out what they look like? I still do that….well, I don’t lay in the grass much! hahaha!

I didn’t alter these photos at all!

Look around at the beauty that surrounds you

and remember to LOOK UP!

These are great! I "still" watch clouds to this day, and can conjure up all sorts of objects and animals!

Amen! Yes, and I still find images in the cloud formations. I remember a Peanuts cartoon where Charlie Brown and another character were doing that and Linus (I think...maybe Schroeder) says something like "I see the armies of Alexander the Great marching..." Charlie looks perplexed and says, "Gee, I was going to say I see a ducky and a kitty."

Always a wonderful idea to look up and to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us. Natural beauty is the best.

Yes I do remember that Diane and just this week I have been sitting on my front porch looking at the clouds and seeing different things in them!

How unusual to see such different cloud formations. You certainly could make up a story by laying down and looking up on that day. It's so lovely to take time out and see nature's beauty occasionally. xx

I still watch the clouds with my little loves. Oh the magic we see. When I was small my grandmother and I always looked up in the morning,at noon and before bed time for Jesus to come. She has been gone for a long time but I still keep her watch.....

It is fun to see the sky as it looks from the other coast! We have had a lot of morning fog (and with it cooler temps) this week but the afternoon skies have been beautiful.

Amazing! My kids and I always enjoy looking for shapes in the clouds and I must share this with them as they'll love it!

I still like to take a moment now and then, lay in my hammock and look up. I don't think I have ever seen a fish swimming through clouds.

Cool cloud formations, it does indeed look like a fish! Looking at the sky is one of my favourite things to do, so much beauty in our world up, down and all around. Deb

Great photo. I still look at clouds, especially when I drive, especially the ones off in the distance as they gather forming a storm. Traveling across West Texas this summer following a storm, we were amazed at the cloud formation that looked like Abe Lincoln looking down on the Texas prairie, a perfect profile his face. We couldn't help but wonder what we would think of the state of today's affairs.

It does look like a fish. But when I first saw it, it looked like a heart to me. Don't you love beautiful, blue and white skies!

Definitely a strange formation in the middle of the clouds - I like the idea from above of a feather. I too look at the clouds a lot to see what shapes are there.

How beautiful! Too often we're oblivious to the beauty around us (even HERE is cold, dreary Chicago!). The past few weeks I've noticed that on my way to work there is often the most beautiful sunrise over a local forest preserve and it happens to open up right next to a traffic light. I have pulled over several times and parked to watch and take photos but I've also looked to see if anyone else is noticing the beauty before them and most of them are not. They just rush past and miss out on so much! We all need to take time to slow down and look UP and around us for the beautiful surprises God delivers each day!

It does look like a fish! We (my sisters and I) used to play the "cloud" game when we traveled.

Diane,
What lovely pictures these are. Do you know that I love CLOUD pictures? I always seem to find a shape or a face in the clouds when looking at them. Oh yes, I remember gazing at the clouds when I was little and being amazed by them. I still am.

Love,
~Sheri
