Frost on the Pumpkin!

We traveled to the mountains of NC to see some pretty Fall colors but got a surprise on our first morning here…FROST and a record setting temperature of 25 for today!

Our car froze! heehee!

When we got in it to run errands this morning it was 34 at almost 11 am!

This may bump up the colors on the trees.

It sure was fun to see the pumpkin patch in the frost.

Wow! You actually got colder than us! We've been in the 30s, but haven't seen 20s yet. Gorgeous pictures! We survived our annual Halloween party! Over 100 guests! I'd call that a success. Pics on the blog!

That last picture is like confetti!

The east coast has such brilliant fall color. Here we are known for our aspen gold in the high country. On the prairie we have mostly cotton woods, so I really enjoyed your photos.

We have 30 above this morning! Your photos are terrific, but that last one is my fave. Love that carpet of leaves, and how they decorate the bushes.

I bet the colors are gorgeous there right now. Get out and hike and enjoy that crisp air!

You haven't missed much news about us, LOL. Glad to see that you made it safely to NC. We got a hard frost yesterday. We went for a little drive in our valley area and were very disappointed in the lack of colors this year. It is not a good fall in our neck of the woods.

I'm heading to the mountains for a few days in Nov and can't wait! Enjoy and brrrr is right!

Very pretty! We've had a couple mornings of hard frost north of Philly too! Lovin' your new header:@)

Your pictures of all the fall colors are amazing. The deep reds are showing up in the foliage around here. So beautiful. I would love to be driving down toward Ashville this week. I love the mountains this time of year. I became a follower of your blog today. I am looking forward to reading more of your posts and seeing more beautiful pictures..... Candy

Sea of pumpkins!
We've had frost in two mornings but recent days it's been 'warm' and rainy.
Have a good week ahead!

Temps are dropping here too. We have had several frosts on the ground over the past week. Your pics are beautiful.. Blessings!

I sure feel guilty for whining about the fact it is only going to get to 76 here today! Love your colors, thanks for sharing them.

It looks like you found some color, as well as a frost up here in NC ! Here in the city its cold too and we have about concluded we'll be raking green leaves!

Really is beautiful, but your Florida feet must be freezing!!! We are home. It was just a little above 70 when we pulled in last Thursday and the neighbors (the few who are here) were all complaining about the cold. We told them they shoulda' been in South Dakota ;>)....I hope NC warms up for you a little bit.

That last photo is a real trompe l'oeil Diane, I thought it was flowers all over the ground and bushes!
We are promised 36 degrees F tomorrow night on the coast as well but it does little to add colours in the trees here...We seem to be in a continuous fog...
Safe trip Friend,

What a beautiful place to visit, despite the cold temps! We've had a few frosts here in NJ, too. Thanks for sharing at MM. :) xo

Oh what pretty pictures!

We went down to 30 degrees a night or two ago so most everything's been annihilated in the way of flowers and such ..a few strays here and there.
But that's typical for this time of year.

Your pics are so bright and cheery and fall-ish! :)

Lovely photos from your trip! The leaves are beautiful and I love the pumpkin mosaic. I am not sure if we have had a frost here, maybe this week. Thanks for sharing, enjoy your week ahead!

What a change from that warm Florida weather. We've had a few light frosts and snow already that didn't stay.
Hope you can keep warm in the balmy northern weather. :-)

It's been cold here in Ohio. We've had frost and snow already, but it is going to get back up into the low 60's this week. The colors here have been prettier since the frost.
