“I Found a Leaf”

Even though the leaves are very green here in Florida right now, I did find a pretty book this week with beautiful illustrations of Fall leaves.

And I finished my Fox (and even made another one).

This is a delightful children’s book that looks pretty with Fall decorations, too.

Do you like to watch movies set in Fall (like ‘You’ve Got Mail’) or read books with an Autumn theme? I know many of you have shared Fall poetry and I’ve enjoyed that. Another reason to embrace the season!

Neat! You have to appreciate Fall where you can find it. Right? The leaves are still green here too but we got a great cool front and it's wonderful outside. :)

Your fox turned out fabulous. Love children's books with the pretty leaves too. I'll share some of our MI leaves. I just raked the backyard Thursday evening after work and you'd never know it. Hugs!

Nice score. You do what a girl has to do if Fall colors do not fall in color.
in your state.
Oh your foxy is soooooo cute.

Great job!

Happy Sunday!

your fox is so adorable! and the leaf book reminds of my childhood, bringing home pretty leaves to put between wax paper and "iron" so they'd stay fresh in a window for a while.

Very nice book to add to your collection. I hadn't thought about reading books with an autumn theme...I'm not sure that I know of any. Oh sure, I know a few books with memorable autumn scenes, but not an entire book.

Cute fox. Did you make it from a pattern? The book looks lovely. I have winter books and summer books, but I can't think of any autumn books off hand. Any suggestions?

Hi Diane, your fox looks so cute. I have a book about making felt creatures and think it's high time I actually put my $20 investment to good use...lol. I think I might be the last romantic girl in the world who hasn't seen You've got Mail. I must make a point of actually watching that movie now. :) Hope you have a lovely week this week and nice catching up with you again.

love the idea of writing the book with your grandchild!! Take a walk in the woods or in a park with your child or grandchild. Pick the leaves up and write about all the colors and things you saw along the way and make a little book to take home to read to Mom and Dad or keep at Grandma's house to read on visits!!

I love your fox and they do try to mate for life, so two is even better.

I will have to read all the comments to see which autumn movies I can not think of.

I love that book! And your fox. I used to help a friend gather Fall leaves to send to her sister who taught on the prairies of Montana. She said her little pupils had never seen a fallen leaf and didn't understand what their readers were talking about. We mailed huge boxes of leaves ever fall.

Its almost Thanksgiving here in Canada so of course watching Planes, Trains and Automobiles again was a must recently! ;>)

Love your little fox, how cute is that.

No fall here at all -- I really do miss the colored leaves and the cover of that book certainly brought back a lot of childhood memories. Oh and your Fox -- very cute!

What a great book, and that fox is adorable!

Your little fox is so darn cute and your book makes me want to go gather leaves and do some crayon rubbing myself. Maybe even drag out the chalk pastels and see how they work. Love fall.

Hi namemate! I'm such a bad linky party host. I forgot to acknowledge your blog last week :( I'm sorry.

I love the title of the book. I'm sure it relays something very meaningful. Even adults who remains to be very kids at heart can relate.

Thanks for forever linking up namemate! Have a great week ahead!
