Meet the Fall Fox Family!

Mr. and Mrs. Fox and their colorful children!

IPFoxFam1

(are you seeing double?)

I had fun making the family of foxes and when I went to Wikipedia to read more about foxes (I’m fox crazy lately), it said they live in small family groups. The page is HERE.

I posted my sewing project HERE and linked to the pattern I used HERE.

I just wanted to share the changes I made. I sewed a small oval in the bottom so that my foxes could sit up straight. And to make the ‘kids’ I just put my original pattern in the copier and reduced the pattern to 66 %. I think it made them just the right size.

I’ve named them Felix and Felicity but I don’t have names for the kits yet!

Along with my ‘fox craze’ comes another Etsy purchase.

Look at the amazing bag I bought from my blog buddy, Cameron at Paint Myself Pretty.

Even the back is beautiful!

Her Etsy shop is HERE.

I’ve made mice, foxes and pumpkins this Fall.

What’s next? Any ideas for future projects?

Your fox family is precious. I love all the different felt colors that you've used on this project. They have the sweetest little faces. Love the bows around their necks and little ears. Too cute!

Too cute! Love the colors. Of course, the kids' names have to start with Fs too, right? What about squirrels or chipmunks? I have multitudes of them running around this time of year.

The foxes are so sweet Diane. I was dusting a shelf in the bedroom the other day and had to move my stuffed dogs around. I wondered how many other grown women still have stuffed animals. I know you do, it's the inner child in us, isn't it?

Oh I do love your foxes!! I actually had a dog who had wild fox in her. Just a little. Unfortuantely she started biting children - mine and I had to get rid of her. She was mostly Syberian Huskey but she had that redish fur on her legs. I do so love your bogs!! I love all your make up bags on your other blog...you busy girl you!! :)

You are the only gal I know who is making foxes! They are the cutest things. Point well taken about the oval on the bottom to keep them upright.

These are such "clever" foxes, Diane (no pun intended). :) You did a GREAT job on these. I like foxes, too. My hubby and I have seen some beautiful photos of fall scenes with red foxes, and they really are handsome creatures.

Several years ago, our neighbor three doors down had a mother fox coming into their yard looking for food for her babies. My only fear of them is that since they're wild animals, they will bite if they feel threatened, and they carry rabies. I still think they're beautiful though. :)

Your tote bag from Etsy is so pretty; thanks for sharing your wonderful handmade items with us. I hope you have a great week!!

Oh I almost forgot; I have two stuffed foxes wearing English hunt style clothes that I'll put out in our den around Thanksgiving. I wasn't smart enough to make mine, though. :)

Hugs,

Denise

Foxy Lady! :)
This is a cute project and the family is adorable! I am glad that you put the source for your felt into the post...some felted wool sites are quite expensive. ( I have not DONE anything with felted wool but have been considering it. My problem is that I am attracted to applique projects with wool and yet there is simply no where I could put a table runner or something made of wool due to my cat! :) Making little animals or ornaments might be the way to go for me when I take the plunge...and yes i want to see the fox in the woods or wherever he was in another post :)
