The Drive was HALF the FUN!

We went to the BEST Fall Festival of the season yesterday and when I sort through my photos, I’ll share all of the fun. Did anyone else get to go to McIntosh this weekend?

IMG_7407

It was the most beautiful day with fabulous weather in the high 80s!

IMG_7379

And then on our way home, it started raining a gentle rain and the temps went down into the 70s.

IPBestDrive-001

We saw so many wonderful sights on the way home and one of them was worth turning around to take photos. The photos didn’t turn out great but the experience was exciting.

Eag1IMG_7531

We spotted a Bald Eagle in the woods and while we were watching it, another one flew in.

How awesome to see two magnificent eagles on a weekend drive.

I love the moss hanging on the trees, so romantic and mysterious all at the same time. Sounds like you had a great day.
The only cool thing we have around here are bald eagles. Depending on the time of year, I might see a couple a week.

Nooooo! I didn't go! We are not aware of all the better festivals yet in the area. I better keep my eyes open for Bald Eagles!!!

Fall festivals are fun, but it seems to me that cooler temps would be even better, but of course the 80s may be considered cooler weather for you now. My favorite temps are 60s in fall when sweatshirts and long sleeves make being outside great. Looks like you had a great time with lots of other folks enjoying the weather and festivities too. Fun to see the Halloween themed items next to the snowmen which might not like the temps...just saying.

Lovely weekend. We had great weather for October and spent lots of time with dear friends. I even got a quick walk through a street fair. It had lots of temptations, but happily I resisted. Have a great week!

What a lovely weekend you had! The title of your post should have been my own! We celebrated our northern fall foliage this weekend. The colors were amazing.

I'm sure the change in weather was welcome. I'm sure it was a great time. I'm curious about your new header, and where the baskets are from. They are similar to quite a few I've been seeing lately in outdoor markets.

Gosh it's been ages since I've been to a festival. How nice. The eagles are wonderful and I love to catch sight of them too. We have them in the area now too. They've all come down from the north, from breeding, for the salmon runs.
