Maple Trees in all of their Glory

We drove to the NC Arboretum one afternoon to walk through the gardens.

I have taken so many photos that I’ll never have time to share them all so these are going to be untouched, right out of the camera. I won’t even take the time to crop them.

You can drive right in with us….

do you have your seatbelt on?

OK….we’ll park in the parking lot!

Let’s check the temps to see if we need a jacket!

Ahhh….PERFECT!

Oh, and we’ll walk up on the bank and meet a visiting artist.

Sally Christiansen from Venice, Florida was painting with chalk. OH MY! Her art is breathtaking and she was delightful!

The Fall colors seem to be improving every day that we’re here. I took my camera and pointed it up into the spectacular color!

The arboretum is beautiful any time of the year, but breathtaking right now. How fun that you got to meet an artist.

Thanks for sharing those beautiful Fall pics of N.C. I was hoping to make it there this weekend but looks like we have to wait a few weeks, all the color will be gone but it is always wonderful whenever we do get to the Mts.

Diane,
Look at those trees! Oh, this place is magical, and it displays all the colors of this glorious season. The artist is very talented.

I wanted to answer your question about my sweater....when I bought the sweater, I thought it was a Fox, and I love Foxes, but then my son told me it was a RACCOON! Oh well, I think it's sweet anyways. And you should see the other side - the raccoon's tail is on the back.

Have a nice weekend, my friend.

Love,
~Sheri
