“Angel Rays” Photo Challenge for Dec

I almost feel like I am ‘cheating’ this month.

I wanted to alter and tweak my photos but I just couldn’t.

dropshadowIMG_9167

So I took them to picmonkey and put a drop shadow frame around them and that’s all I did.

dropIMG_0092

Straight out of the camera showing you what I see every morning when I open the drapes in my bedroom and taken on 3 different days.

The very first time I noticed how pretty it looked, the leaves of the trees were blowing outside and causing the angel to shimmer. Breathtaking…something that makes you stop and say a prayer of thankfulness.

(the ‘standing back to get the full view before you make the bed’ photo…the light is constantly changing!)

I’m taking part in Donna’s photo challenge

and Weekend Reflections.

Sometimes what you see is what you get when you take the photo. Florida is considered the “Sunshine State” for a good reason.

Let There be Light.

Won’t you join us in the challenge?

Very pretty decorations and photos. I especially like that third one down with the deep shadows surrounding a well-lit Angel. Very Nice!!

I always enjoy watching the light. What a beautiful display you have created and with the addition of light...exquisite! I like that you tested the light for three days, too. Interesting!

That is such a heartwarming scene, and what a nice way to greet the day with the dance of the sunlight along your bedroom walls! The light and the shadows provide a nice contrast and help focus the viewers attention on the subjects - your lovely decorations. And I'm so glad to hear that you pay attention to how the light changes during the day, thus changing the scene.

I know I can always count on you to participate! Thank you, sweetie! And don't forget to link up to the photo challenge blog.

I enjoy watching the shadows from trees in my living room. Our maple tree is just getting big enough now to give some pretty shadows (well ... before the leaves drop ... just bare branches now). Your photos are very pretty, and I like how you described the light making your angel shimmer :) Happy weekend to you! Wendy x

Diane, Those are really good photos. I have to do right out of the camera shots...cause I sure don't know how to fancy them up.:):) The good things about Florida is the sunshine and the smell of the ocean. I love that angel too. I would love for you to show more of your dolls. Blessings for a great day. xoxo,Susie

I too like the photo with the deep shadows surrounding the angel.

I think improving my photography will be one of my 2014 goals.

Maybe then I can sign up for the photo challenge.

These pictures are just beautiful! I think I like the first one the best, although each has its own beauty.

Mostly bright and sunny on the angel and swan, but the darker photo really makes you take notice of just them and not the surroundings.

I like the light shining in your bedroom window on this pretty vignette, Diane. It's interesting the way sunlight plays on everyday things that we often take for granted. Your angel is very pretty.

Lovely use of natural light! I love that you did these photos on three different days. I never noticed the subtle differences in such things before photography. :)

Your angel looks so lovely with the sun shining through your windows. There was an angel shop that I used to go to but they closed down, and miss it so much. I have always loved angels and have a few of my own.

The lighting or lack thereof, can make all the difference in the world, can't it? Just lovely, Diane. Ann

Ah sunshine, we do remember what that is...I think.

Hi Diane, your photos are stunning. Love the light streaming in and the cast of shadows on your beautiful display. They just did not need altered at all. I had so much fun catching up on your posts. Love the gorgeous pillows below, your wonderland scene and your header is beautiful. What a great find at the thrift store in the little tree and your makeover with the shells is way cute.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs, Celestina Marie
