Let’s see what’s pretty and ‘new’!

I love decorating for Christmas but I don’t buy new things. I like vintage and handmade pretties.

wintermeri3IMG_0026

So I was so thrilled to get one of Meri’s creations this year. She sent me a handmade ‘Putz’ house in the colors I love best.

I surrounded it with thrift finds that are special to me.

Do you visit her blog, Imagi Meri’s Creations? It’s amazing! Thanks girlfriend!

Dawna sent me a sweet package of cards that I won in her giveaway and even a handmade Christmas card!

So many fun treasures! Meri is such a talented artist. Love her special little houses. I'm going to sharing my putz house village tomorrow on the blog. Today, I'd love to be home staring at all my Christmas decorations instead of being at work. Shhhh...our secret.

Oh I love how you set everything up, I especially love that fence you've got in the front. Thank you so much for letting me see how you set it up. It's a home that went to a very special home.

Hugs,
Meri

Such a cheery vignette, Diane! And what fun gifts. Enjoy - and enjoy that snowless lanai! :-)

Hi Diane, I love the house that you have for your Christmas decoration! Is it hot there? We had snow yesterday and it's cold and icy here. I love vintage decorations and I rotate all of mine each year. Some years I love a lot of decorations, this year I kind of cut back on a lot of them. It's a lot of work! I'm almost done with all my shopping and wrapping too, just last minute stuff. I can't believe all the things that you win with the giveaways. How nice. Take care and enjoy the rest of the week. I love that house, but really love the street sign! It brings to life the house next to it. I'm going to visit the blogs you mention now. As to feeling merry? Ask me next Friday when I have finished work and the Baileys will be opened! xx

You are one lucky lady!
I love Meri's little holiday house and the other gifts are equally as nice.
The ladies are so creative, aren't they?

Hi Diane! How in the world are you, Sweetheart?? I just wanted to say that I am happier than a fly that fell in the wine jug! Getting the decorating done. Only the tree left to decorate..and that will be it.
Still have tons to do...so I better get on it. I love old things too. I have a few things from the 50's but my main thing to collect is kitchen items. I will have to do a post on those one day. I didn't dress up the dolls in their Christmas finery yet. Not sure if I will get to it. Did you? I am far, far behind in visiting but I know you understand. We interact with so many bloggers..and it is easy to get behind. Thank you so much for coming by. I think I count myself lucky if I can just get to the ones that visit..and I don't have half as many as you do. Big hugs..and Merry Christmas to you!
Love,
Mona

oh how nice is your blog with all the christmas decos.

I love red but never seen red sofa's.

Do you keep the sofa's red all other seasons or put a throw over it.

Love you pillows.

Did you go over to Chatty Crones blog. See her Moms memories she has on her tree.

I love the idea of two red sofas. In so many ways, red can be considered a neutral. Your decor is absolutely festive and ready for Christmas! You put me to shame. lol
